There's been a Yoplait commercial, well three actually, where a mom is hosting about her amazing daughter BECOMING AN INDEPENDENT CHILD! (in a very loud voice). It really gets on my nerves! This is not the same one, but it still has the obnoxious mom yelling...

I'm tired of parents labeling their children "amazing". Intelligent perhaps, clever for their age maybe I'll grant you but "amazing" is misused. To credit Louis CK so I'm not accused of stealing one of his jokes, "amazing" should only be used if someone's child does or says something so unbelievable that it makes your jaw drop. A 6 year old performing open heart surgery. A 9 year old fixing a car's transmission. A 8 year old piano prodigy composing his/her own symphony. THAT'S only what should be considered "amazing"LOL

I agree with you about "amazing". I remember once standing on line at a supermarket, looking at the cover of some teen girl magazine. One of the articles featured pn the cover was titled "How to Be an Amazing Kisser".

I thought "only if she can stick her tongue down my throat and bring up last night's rigatoni, would a kiss "amaze" me".
