I hear Laurel, but I want to hear Yanny.
But not Yanni. |

What's wrong with your ears? All I hear is Yawnee - you know, like the really tired Indian tribe who didn't have any war cry because they were always yawninwg

^ I liked the first post better!
You know it's a slow news day when something like this makes the early morning national news. |

Yanni finally weighs in on the Yanny-Laurel debateIn case we haven’t beat the Yanny versus Laurel debate to death by now (we certainly have), one more man has weighed in on what he hears in the mysterious audio clip. That man is Yanni—and he hears “Yanni,” of course. |

I kinda like these diversions that get a lotta people weighing in. Anyway, the first few times. I heard Laurel. Then, at work, someone played the recording, and I heard Yanny. So...Oh, I dunno. |

I heard that Yanni is delighted about this new debate because it gives him free publicity, something he hasn't had for a long, long time.

I think everybody is being f**ked with, in that the sound clip contains both 'words' played at the same time, but one of them is at a different frequency that some people can hear, but others can't (tests have shown that this is a real thing i.e. that younger people can hear frequencies that older people can't & vice versa.)
I hear 'yanni', but others may hear it differently... |
