Damn straight....

Don't knock it till you've tried it, bub.

The stuff is delicious. Tongue

And when had with some sleep aid, it's just enough to help put you under.

When I'm having (or anticipate) trouble falling asleep, I take an allergy relief pill containing diphenhydramine (same stuff as used in Nyquil, $4/100 at Walmart). If I wake up in a few hours, I take another one and maybe an Rx sedative.

Weekends, I usually abstain, as I have a much bigger window for sleep.

The sleep aid caplets I take from Walmart have the same stuff in them. They even look the same as the allergy pills, but instead of being red, they're blue and the bottle is labeled "sleep aid".

The glass of blackberry wine I drink after they start making me drowsy helps and it tastes awesome.

One of my buddies back in high school used to like Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill. The rest of us just drank beer.  If my buddy Mike was there, it had to be Strohs. He kept a church key with him at all times.  So he could punch a hole in the opposite side of the can.  Better flow, less foam.

I'm on hold (no answer yet) with the hospital billing dept.  What a bunch of sh*t!  I can't get through, a real person won't call me back.  I think they want to call the f*cking collection agency!  I have paid all of the bills they have sent me.  Total bullsh*t!

Okay, I might need some cheese with my whine!  I remember something about Mad Dog 20/20. Wine gives me a headache and a hangover.  My parents used to order Chianti when we went out to eat.

Hospital billing is screwy. I'd get a bill one day in one format, and the very next day get a bill for some of the same charges, and in a totally different format. Sometimes, it was actually typewritten!

I don't even think they know what they're doing sometimes.

On Friday night, I liked about 20 different pages of local restauraunts and media outlets on Facebook. I then got an error message on there that said, "Sorry we can't process your request right now". When I tried to like a certain page again, I was locked out of my account. I forgot my password so I had to reset it. Apparently, if you like too many pages in a given time, it's potentiatlly "Spam" and a security issue. I think that's totally BS. Why should they limit me on how many pages I can like and then lock me out of my account for it. I don't think they should be able to do it. Thankfully, my account's back just fine.

My Dish service has been messed up today.  It usually shuts off and resets about 1:30 in the morning.  I've never seen this warning before. The receiver's memory is being programmed...WTF?  When I first moved in here, Dish was having some squabble with the local NBC networks.  Now!  It's CBS that is off the air! I think the local channels are important. 80 freaking bucks a month and they take channels away from us?  Fing BS!!

I have a confession to make. Tongue  I was grabbing some Mott's apple sauce off the shelf at the grocery store. I knocked one off and it fell to the floor. Yep, it broke open one of the containers (6 pack). The bad thing is, I didn't tell anyone.  They know it's me, there were only 2 or 3 customers in the store and I'm the only one who bought apple sauce.  Oh well.

My desk chair pad should arrive today, and not a moment too soon.  I got one of the 4 dining room table chairs in the settlement. Nice and sturdy with good rollers.  Rolling over this crack in this floor is tearing the crap out of it. I roll over to the TV so I can see the program guide.

I noticed when I was doing laundry that I can see daylight around the dryer vent hose.  Not only are there water pipes for the heat there, I don't won't any critters in the house.  Some of that expanding foam might work.

Dish always does updates at 1:30 in the morning. Your CBS is probably owned by Nexstar. Dish claims Nexstar wants a billion-dollar increase to carry the channel.

Or some backer rod and some caulk.

Depending on how big the gap is.

The canned foam might be better (and cheaper) if it's just a small crack.

Definitely seal it up, as it will cut down on the drafts in the house.  We always had cold drafts in the living room in the winter, didn't know where they were coming from.  Years ago, I went through the house, checking & replacing wall sockets where needed.  The two in the living room wall shared the same openings with those on the back porch, could even see light through them once the cover plates were removed.  Once sealed up, the drafts disappeared & the house has stayed warmer ever since...  Smile

My goddamned health insurance provider keeps sending me these letters showing what they are not going to pay for.  I feel f*cking violated. Screw you!  Avoid this company at all cost...

Colonial Health/Southern Guaranty Insurance Company.

The only bills I have gotten is from these middle eastern doctors who checked on me for 5 minutes and charged me 400 bucks a visit.  According to SGIC...I owe about $75,000.  I was trying to think of an acronym. Screwing you Good Insurance Con artist!  Angry

I got my property tax bill today, and my water quality report from UW Oshkosh.  I don't and won't drink the water.  The tax bill is about one third what we were paying before.  I haven't had any communications with the ex since the day of the divorce.  11/24  I won't bother her, I hope she calls to check on me.

What did the lawyer say about getting the bill reduced?

You might be able to file for bankruptcy.

I wish you the best of luck with how that all turns out.

Not to keep pestering you about it, but I've heard that sometimes they are willing to negotiate the price down.

Just a thought.

I hope you're able to get it straightened out and not get taken to the cleaners.

Well I assume you expected to pay part of it.

Maybe 20% or something like that.

But getting socked with the entire amount is ridiculous.

Of possible interest to aka ron....

A very young couple of your fellow townsfolk were killed near here the other day when some career thug in a stolen car trying to evade capture by the police turned the wrong way on I-95 and sped in the wrong direction, striking another car head on and killing a young brother and sister from Omro, Wi who were returning home from looking at Christmas lights. The thug who caused the wreck was also killed. His name has not yet been released.

Quote

ORLANDO, Fla. – The parents of two siblings killed Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 95 after a suspect fleeing authorities struck their vehicle head-on in Volusia County say the young adults will continue to live on through their organ donations.

The wreck happened when a 47-year-old man driving a stolen vehicle out of Orange County attempting to evade authorities by making a U-turn on the interstate, driving north in the southbound lanes crashing into the SUV with three siblings and their cousin inside. The man from Orlando was also killed in the crash.

Domynick Milis, 21, and Danycka Milis, 18, of Omro, Wisconsin, were on their way back to the house where they were staying Tuesday night after seeing the Christmas lights at the Daytona International Speedway when they were killed in the crash, Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said. Their younger brother and cousin were seriously injured in the crash.

A letter from the Schools District of Omro, Wisconsin sent to families Wednesday identified the victims. Both were graduates from the school district in Winnebago County, Wisconsin.
