Move over Marie, there is a new queen of diet plan commercials.

Oprah buys 10% of Weight Watchers, stock soars

Can't stand her. I've never been able to. She does carry a lot of weight, though.

"Oh look, the fat woman is telling us how to lose weight!!! Guess we should take her advice because she must know all about how to slim down. Being that she's so fat herself and all."

Someone needs to explain the logic to me, because I don't get it.

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

Maybe now Oprah can donate tons of Weight Watchers food to the needy and homeless, helping them to get in better shape, get off their lazy asses, and get to work. Thanks for enabling our tax dollars to do better things than support the non-working class, Oprah!

Pitching for a company that she just invested in sounds like a conflict of interest. But anyway, fat people were losing weight long before weight watchers.

I don't know if that's really a conflict of interest.  Plus, it happens all the time.  I think Peyton Manning owns Papa John's franchises.  And what about Papa John himself?  He hawks his own company (though he may not own more than a majority share in it---I don't know).

This is funny but Kirstie Ally shilling for Jenny Craig still set the bar pretty high. And her showing up on the Oprah show after supposedly having lost 50 pounds -- coming out in a bikini over a full body stocking, flashing lights camouflaging her figure, scarves waving all around her so you couldn't really see her shape? OMG, that was priceless. And of course she put it all back again and then some. It all makes Marie's little flash in the pan look like gold.

She's only gained/lost/gained back a ton of weight over the last few decades. I'm not sure how much I'd trust her as a spokesperson for weight loss.

Those Marie Osmond commercials are annoying but at least she's actually kept the weight off this whole time. (Though I'm not sure if she's really eating their food. Who knows.)

^LOL

If her name ever comes up around here, I call her Okra.

This is where I take it completely off topic.

Okra? Never heard of it until I was trying to find myself, on a highway mowing crew in cental Indiana.
I drove this big ass tractor with a batwing bushhog.

One day for a lunch break we stopped in and the boss ordered okra, I never heard of it before then.
OKRA!

It was a cool job,  you would be surprised at the porn that gets thrown out of windows. LOL
They were doing so well, they wanted to go all the way to the Ohio state line, that means overnight stays or a long drive home.

Something better came up.

I could't find the video, dammit! Okra talks about fitting into those old jeans.
Then she says "honey child"?

I know she is not talking to me.

Here's the "Honey Child" commercial. I want to smack her in the face every time I see this one when she says "honey child". I don't even know why. Also, I really doubt Oprah is on Weight Watchers.

What's with the way she says something like 'Its not like I have a pair of jeans to fit in too.'  Her too came out really slurred.

Thanks for finding that, Puppydogpants. Your name is just too damned cute, ahem.

I can only stand less than 60 seconds of Okra. Wink

She has made a lot of money with weight watcher's stock.   If she were really serious about losing weight, she could have done it a long time ago.

I haven't heard anybody say honey child in at least 20 years.   We know who her target audience is now.

Here's another wonderful installment of the Oprah overload. Oprah, we get it, you like bread. Good for you. Do you want a prize? Millions of people like bread. You're not special. How many times do you need to say "bread" in one commercial? Stick to what you're good at. You know, like brainwashing women into spending their hard earned "bread" on crap because it has your approval or name on it, and keeping a slice of that "bread" for yourself.

Oprie says she eats bread everyday, but I bet it's only one or two slices of whole wheat or whole grain bread.

People who really "love bread" the way she says she does, aren't going to get all excited over a couple of slices of whole wheat bread. They (or we) want to go nuts over a baguette of crusty French or a fresh baked loaf of Italian bread. Sourdough maybe. Nice fresh, chewy bagels.

Made with standard old carbohydrate packed, blood glucose raising, fat ass producing white flour.

She is using a kind of sneaky advertising approach to try to BS people into signing up with Fatass Watchers.

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!
