I just saw a new (I think. First time I've seen it) Wal*Mart commercial, and shockingly enough...it was actually good.

It starts with a couple preparing their Christmas feast, and the wife asks "honey, have you seen my ring? I can't find it."

Cut to the feast, where a guest (Her sister, I assume), picks up a bread roll, and - surprise surprise - finds the ring encrusted into its surface. She immediately turns to her boyfriend and shouts out "YES I WILL!" and embraces the clueless soul, while wife and hubby look on with an expression that says, "Oh dear god this'll be awkward." plastered on their faces.

Didn't find it on GoogleTube, but no doubt in five seconds someone else will find the video for it and I'll feel a fool.

Saw it a while back and I've looked for that one for a few weeks - I agree - it is actually GOOD.

Yeah.  I saw this one yesterday.  I was only half-paying attention, so I didn't really get what happened.  Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah.  It took about 5 seconds...about as long as it took me to type "walmart ring commercial" into the Youtube search box.  WinkLOL

I don't see what's so good about it. Is it just because we're so used to rock-bottom Walmart commercials that we think this one is "good"?

Frankly, it kind of pisses me off that major corporations that don't really need advertising in the first place (like Walmart or McDonalds) make such lazy commercials, just because the sheep will go there anyway bad ad or not.

It is the perfect sequence of events and the irony.

I'm on the fence about this one.
I can appreciate it because it was well thought out and had wit, but...

I really, I mean REALLY hate her. Every time I see this, it causes secondhand embarrassment and then it dawns on me that there are really ring-obsessed nutcases out there. Run, man. RUN.
Please, stop saying "Awesome" in commercials! Your actors are not awe-inspiring and neither is your product.

I think that pretty well sums it up.
