I did!!!!

Not back in 1982 when it first aired though.

More like earlier this year on AntennaTV before they took the channel off the air around here.

But I did see it.

I suppose that one of the messages is that "if you truly CARE about your children's safety, you'll get a Volvo that will automatically save your kids' lives when you idiotically back out of your driveway at speed and without looking"!!

I also guess that, with the price of a hybrid Volvo wagon hovering around $67,000.00, these disheveled-but-obviously-well-off parents could afford a nanny to do some of their running around for them.  Because both Mom and Dad look SO ridiculously exhausted that they probably shouldn't be driving!

If you freeze the video around the 15-second mark  the packages on the diaper shelf at the store with the picture of the kid on them have the logo, "Plastic S-cks"  in bold print on them.   Good Lord, how edgy and woke of them.

I guess I'm kind of ambivalent on that.

Torn, if you will.

Plastic does suck, so I kind of appreciate the sentiment.

^^Yes, Jimbo, I actually agree with you on that point -  I don't think that anyone particularly loves plastic (especially plastic pollution) but it was the gratuitous use of the "S" word to get the point across...especially in an advertisement for a car (which has its own plastic components), set in a highly well-appointed,  best-of-everything house filled with toys and every possible gadget ...that I found  especially annoying!
