You guys see these stupid Honda commercials. Can anyone tell me what "The Fit Is Go" means.Confused  The commercial reminds me of the Japanese commercials I have seen. Remember Homer Simpson in that one episode where he is Mr. Sparkle? I really get annoyed by commercial slogans that try to be cool but don't mean anything. I HATE the Subway commercials, but, hey at least "$5 footlong" says what it means.

it's a commercial catchphrase pretty much.
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

It's a sh*tty commercial for a pile of sh*t car. Most Japanese car companies usually have retarded commercials.

There was a British movie in the 60's called "Thunderbirds are Go".  I'm guessin "Go" means good or ready as in "all systems are go".

So Solly, Fit Is Go, Prease!

Maybe they are reassuring consumers with broken Engrish, that the Fit does indeed, go forward, as expected.

We had a thread going about this a long, long time ago. Probably over a year.

I think it's just some psuedo, retro-hip silliness designed to be so stupid, that every time you see a Honda drive past, you'll think "the Fit is go." & thus their product will be inside your head.

The plan being that maybe on the day you decide to go out & buy a new car, it will be too.

Honda's are good cars. My 93 just rolled over to 150K recently and still runs great. Still original tranny and everything. I saw a commercial recently for that crappy US fiedelis car insurance and they pointed out a case where an 04 needed a new transmission. Seems kinda odd, maybe they just don't make em like they used to? I'll shut up now since I don't know a whole lot about cars Embarrassed

like the commercial or not, the fit is an OUTSTANDING little car.  Tons of room, fun to drive, great gas mileage.  It's the kind of car that's been available in Europe for years but not in the US because everyone wanted bigger & "better".  Very nice little car.  Don't write it off because of a stupid commercial.

Small cars have been available in the US for decades.  From the Nash Metropolitan  to the Chevy II to the Vega to the Gremlin to the Pacer to the Ford Focus, to the Beetle, to the many Japanese subcompacts that have been wildly popular since the 1950's, small cars have been around forever.  The Fit is nothing really that new.

Think I'll wait for 'German Engineering' (didn't Vince teach us that 'Germans make great things'?)...oh, wait - the Isetta 'Coffin' has been around 50 years. I like the new version...(a BMW concept)

Its 'Granny'...
