Confused...this was strangely funny in a weird way the first time I saw it - but then it hit.
This must take place in New Jersey.
It just feels that way - like a retarded version of 'Clerks' and these guys ARE 'tards, I swear - 4th grade repeat rejects.
"...somebody's gonna get fired!"
Then again, *I* don't see BK's offering of 2-for-$10 as any kind of deal.

To me, the Whopper's worth $1.50, the soda's worth $.50 and the fries are worth $1.  That's $3.  Times 2, that's $6.

No deal, in my opinion.

Back in the mid 90's the price of Whoppers went down to .99¢.

They had been somewhere around $2, then one day I saw a banner across the front of my local BK saying...

99¢ WHOPPERS

I thought "Damn, that's a good deal!! Better get there before it's over!!"

Four or five years later, they were still 99¢.

I think their price started going back up in the early 00's after gas prices started hitting $3 - $4 a gallon, which is right around the time the prices of everything else started going up.

And even though gas prices are back down again, those old prices don't seem to be coming back.

Yesterday, I got two Checkers Double Cheeseburgers for $4.

They were awesome. Going back again today.

No deal, in my opinion.

Don't forget to factor in the amortized healthcare costs associated with eating Whoppers.

Let's see...
One BK Whopper:  710 calories, (400 of them from FAT), 45 grams of fat (one-third of them saturated), 1160 mg of salt, 50 grams of carbohydrate (only 2 of which are fiber), and 11 grams of sugar.  That's right... sugar.  But, 30 grams protein.

Add in fries and coke, total:
1,300 calories
80 grams fat
161 grams carbohydrates
6 grams of fiber (whoo-hoo!!)
and 36 grams of protein. (probably worm protein, but hey..)

I'll pass on this so-called "deal".

I married my first wife in 1979, she refused to let me get Wendy's because of the so called "wormburgers".  She was and still is a real bitch!

LOL I find this amusing because I was born in 1979. And also because I like Wendy's better than McDonald's or Burger King. We don't have a Sonic, Hardee's, Arby's, or any other good place around here. We're boring. And sad...

For heaven's sake! When will everyone realize that BK is simply ripping us off and, for our own health, we SHOULD be listening to our brethren inthe United States of India, doncha know - skip the soda, save a buck, and GET HEALTHY!...

I heard something about that cockroach milk thing, but didn't pay any attention to the details as I didn't think I could stomach it.

Just the words "cockroach" and "milk" being used together in the same sentence makes me feel nauseous.

But back to the subject of burgers and deals, I just used my expiring today Checkers BOGO coupon for a couple of Big Bufords. Two big, beefy double cheeseburgers with everything, for $4.78 tax included.

So once again I'll say... Buck Furger King.

WinkTime to make a point.
Because of YOU, I decided to go to Checkers and try a Big Buford, but actually got in on the 2-for-1 deal. Picked 'em up at 3:30 AM, went home and let the idiot box watch me gobble them down, then roll around in pleasurable pain for the next 24 hours (pretty sure it was the onions)...damn, they're good.
~~~
ShockedNow, I'm waiting to see how many people design 'milkers' for cockroach exoskeleton teets, versus more educated alternatives for creating this 'milk'LOL. I just know this will be showing up on some phone video game, or maybe 'Pokemon GO'...
You might be able to find a better hamburger somewhere out there in Foodieland, but not for the price that you can get two BB's for on special.
But price notwithstanding, those things are just a warm, tasty, gut-busting hunk of heaven on Earth.
Happy to have had the opportunity to lead a fellow food follower down the road to righteousness.
Can't tell you how many times I was even mildly concerned what a "great deal" I just got from a fast food joint. But then I don't wear cardboard clown hats, either.
ConfusedNow, I've no idea why BK ripped down their commercials (other than maybe they are embarrassed by them), but *I* found the one for this thread - with a BONUS commercial! Yup, you guessed it. The second commercial includes the twins (aren't they simply precious and SO adorable!) who probably never talk to their parents because *one* of them was named 'Meechie'. God only knows what the other one is named, but I'm positive it isn't 'Joe', much less 'Bubba' (which actually might work).
Wacko"YEA He wants one!", exclaims the spokesman, before 'Meechie' can even open his mouf to say "MeechieWannaWhoppa!"
2 for $10 is not a good deal. It makes me mad that BK is touting $5 a meal as a good deal. You can get a full meal at Checkers for $3(burger, fries, soda, and apple pie) and a cup of ice cream for $1, so $4.28 including tax for a full burger meal with drink and 2 desserts!) BK execs have lost their damn minds touting their $5 a meal as a good deal when you can get more for less at Checkers!"
Using nuclear weapons on problem people is not the answer, you psychopath!
