This is why I don't use Sprint. Because they have commercials like this.

Granted, the guy looks totally skeevy, but does she have to be so heartless and gleeful about breaking up with him? This woman makes me want to reach into the TV and slap that smug smile off her bug-eyed face.

The guy should've walked out of the restaurant and let that rude Censored pay for everything.  That'd show her to break up like that!  Her bill would probably be expensive from the look of the place.

what a Censored See how technology has taken over almost every single aspect of life? If you're sitting directly across from the person, use your voice. It's free.

The guy's next Facebook status update: "Free crap on my front lawn.  It used to belong to some woman who dumped me."  The snarky woman in the ad doesn't find out because it is too late since she already defriended him on Facebook. LOLLOLLOL

This is why I'm starting to hate technology. Do we really need to glorify the rudeness of phone/text/web addiction? Gah!

The girl is so stupid that she doesn't even realize her insensitivity. However, that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the Facebook plug, and it's not the first time I've seen it.

I dunno what it is, but I hate seeing social networking used in the media like that. It's like the ad writers wanted to sound "hip" and "with it", so they threw in the FB reference. I dunno, I just hate using fads that you know will be dated in 10 years, and that's not the first time I've seen a commercial make a Facebook reference.

And the idea of someone talking to someone on a cell phone while sitting across from them is probably not even EXAGGERATED any more. And I don't mean for sarcastic reasons like in this commercial, I mean out of actual SECOND NATURE. I'm sure someone on these boards will see it happen eventually, if someone hasn't already.

You are right, it is second nature, especially with Facebook.  I've seen people comment on Facebook posts/write on people's walls/etc. when the person is right beside them.  I don't even get why they showcase it in this ad like it is some novel and funny thing.  It isn't.  Just go to any college campus and you'll hear people (with laptops or smart phones in their hands) go "Oh [name], why did you just say that about my FB photo?!?" Disapprove  It has been this way for a while.  The only thing this ad does is prove that the woman in this ad is ready to live in the year 2006 in regard to technology. LOL

I've seen teenagers do that.  And, sadly, I've even seen the 30-something couple who live next door to me do it.  They even text each other while in the same room.

If you thought this one was bad, the latest  takes the cake.

I mean, how low can these morons go? Telling a daughter she has to give up her room with no sympathy whatsoever?

Sprint is shameless, absolutely shameless.

AGREE AGREE AGREE x 1000.  Only because I have seen situations before (not with mine, thank God) where parents have uprooted and basically annhiliated an otherwise healthy child's life.  My friend Andy in middle school got his room taken away when his drunk ass "uncle" Bret lost his 8th job and needed a place to stay.  Of course it was only going to be for "a little while," those three magic words adults use when they have no idea how long it will be and just want to shut the kid up, and it ended up being the better part of three years before he finally got arrested and thrown in prison and the poor guy got his room back.  Meanwhile he's had to go through the worst years of puberty sharing a room with his teenage sister (I sh*t you not...) and the worthless jackoff only managed to use those three years to get somehow even more drunk and stupid.

There's one obvious reply for someone who breaks up a romance that way - "Thank you, thank you, thank you for breaking up with me - junkie. Now please go and get some help."

I'm surprised everyone hates these so much.  I think the whole series of commercials is funny.  It's obviously satire.  The woman is so infatuated with her phone that nothing else matters.  I think the crazy eyes she flashes when she says "I just changed my facebook status to SINGLE!" is hilarious...

But she left you first MrC.  See, if you had a 4G plan, you could've texted her your breakup before her breakup email arrived. It's all about the G.

Well...what I mean is that I'd walk away from that bitch after she dumped me and text bad things about her behind her back.

I don't know whether to hate or approve of these ads. At least they are produced with the intention of showing us how horrible these characters are. The "tweeting mom" is the most insane, who creepily asks her upset daughter is she would like her help in composing a tweet about it. But the worst is still the original breakup woman.

I think the one man in the Christmas commercial reflects the audience's sentiment best when he says "why don't you say that to my face?". Overall though I think each one these commercials would be more entertaining if they involved the other person knocking the device out of their hand and saying something like "I couldn't care less about how much you're saving".

Personally I wonder if these commercials were based somewhat on real life experiences with people obsessed with their wireless devices, and they are a bitter satire on these people's disconnect?
