Billy mostly lives on, on the DIY network demonstrating the Awesome Auger. Saw him as recently as today. (July 13)

I saw a Billy Mays ad just yesterday (07-12-09); I believe it was also for the Awesome Auger.

I'm hearing and seeing MORE Billy Mays than before - seems more popular than Michael Jackson, these days.

He was full of meds when he died, also. Valium, hydrocodone, oxycodone ("OXY-Codone!!").

Seems like he did a line or two before the filming of each of his commercials.

Could have been pain meds, et al...I know a lot of people who need to take valium or something similar before flying.

For me, the only annoyance in the commercials was that they tended to be overplayed during any one TV show block.  Sure, we would make fun of the ads but always watched Pitchmen (that show had some great ideas).  He made you remember the product and want to use it, which is what the good ads do (Oxy Clean and the mini spray version is now indispensable in this house).

i am actually not at all surprised that it was linked to coke, in fact that was my first guess when i heard it was a heart failure. it is unfortunate and while some may not have liked his style i found it to be pretty funny, and at least his commercials were straight to the point. i actually found a video on youtube prior to his passing of him and 2 mysterious lines of white powder on a table behind him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHAG1TLoyks he will be missed and none of his imitators will be able to capture his particular style.

Whatever. Anyone you makes millions by annoying people deserve death. I have no sympathy for him, his rich family, or his douche bag sympathizers.

P.S. - You're a horrible person for spending so much time on a lame site like this - get a life.

You sure sound like such a pathetic little angry failure simply dying for attention; why bother commenting?

You ARE correct (please whack it from your post also, Nathan - I'd rather not give others 'ideas' for verbage such as that - AND, SHOULD YOU LEAVE IT AS AN EXAMPLE, it WILL eventually be used, or, at least negatively influence - which is 'not cool').
I'm sorry to YOU and YOSNOS; quite inappropriate. Will eliminate the original post - rather others don't read it (no benefit in mentally-cruel displays).

My life must be two two two failures in one.  LOL

In the true spirit of both Billy Mays and Halloween, Billy Mays' family says to go ahead and dress up like Billy for Halloween.  In fact, his son (also Billy Mays) is holding a Billy Mays costume contest, the prize being a tub of OxyClean.  LOL
