I object more to "apps".  Can we just go back to saying "appetizers" and "applications"?  Not all of us are monosyllabic nitwits.

I can eat their fried green beans with cucumber dip all day long, but I usually grab one of those $7 beers the size of your forearm. Putting those and a tip together has me shelling out $20 without an entre. 
Heck, I can eat 2-3 meals at Taco Hell for that much.

And they actually have an "app" for ordering, paying, etc.  I wonder what it tastes like.

I agree "appetizers" sounds more appetizing than "apps". I rarely do text speak!
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

I love the TGI Friday's appetizers, but this commercial eats!
