So who do the therapist's talk to when they flip out.  Most of them are former or current nut-cases themselves.
There's a sucker born every minute.

That is actually a great question and one I asked throughout my own family as my brother USED to practice and my (late) father, (late) sister, my mother, and my youngest daughter also all have appropriate degrees and COULD have practiced, but chose not to. Also have a whole line of friends in FloriLand who all worked together (including the director of the facility) at a common center for the criminally-deranged (my brother's LAST case was there).

As my brother (now in the Legal Profession, and NOT someone you want to meet) says, from his perspective, the career generally lasts between five and seven years as, by then, the therapists have taken in so much from their clients that it all balls up inside of them and if they don't know how to manage it (which most do not), they end up as 'new clients'. My brother is generally a jerk that knows how to get under your skin and then take everything away, while telling you jokes all the time...but he has more good to him as: 1.) You had to do something to end up meeting him, so when you DO meet him, you may as well come clean and get it over with...and 2.) Given he is considerably younger than me, yet looks so much like me...well, he is just another blessing to the women of the earth (don't forget - he is YOUNGER, thus simply a 'diluted' (PaW-Lite) version of me).

I do not have said degree and had a wife who was one mean-azz cop who made 'Dirty Harry' look tame (and she arrested me more than onceCry) AND had to live around all these professional psychos for so many years...I probably could have two 'TalkSpace' sessions and ruin two careers. I could possibly become the first person to be banned from 'TalkSpace', doncha know...ApproveWink
