Call me a little slow on the uptake, but is there going to be a super bowl 2023 section?

Nathan, did I miss a,roll call?

Anyone else got a broken heart?

I wasn't home, out doing pizza deliveries and listening to Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner's PBP on the radio. Incredible Super Bowl!!! It had everything you could think of - and more! Congrats KC Chiefs.

Thumbing through the ads on iSpot, hardly anything sticks out...except for this Busch Beer ad that parodies the sappy ASPCA commercials with Sarah McLachlan herself. Clever!

https://www.ispot.tv/ad/2P77/busch-beer-super-bowl-2023-teaser-shelter-featuring-sarah-mclachlan

Other than that, the same s--t as always, other than the fact that these advertisers spent $7,000,000 for 30 seconds of airplay.
Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

Last year's thread was just a link to the commercials, and generated little interest. And look at previous years, how comments fell from the 600s in 2010 to the 100s in 2021.

I think the whole Super Bowl commercial thing is over. I don't know why. Maybe they're no longer any good, or maybe they just tried too hard.

Also, the pandemic might've been the nail in the coffin. People just weren't in the mood. I mean, weren't most of the games attendees cardboard?

None of the ads were funny to me. I would say the same thing last year, 2 years ago and 3 years ago.

Super Bowl at this point, I'm just gonna expect the same ol unfunny ads for years to come.

I think the self-righteous, social justice mindset that has taken over the rest of the country, has taken over the advertisers who produce SB commercials too.

A sense of humor is no allowed in either one.

They're all probably afraid of producing an ad that somebody somewhere can twist the meaning of and misconstrue as racist or sexist or some other kind of "___ist".

I noticed the one commercial (I don't even remember what the product was... great job, guys!) where "Dad" had to risk life and limb to go back and get their baby's "binky" (pacifier). When he finally retrieved it and brought it to the airport(?) where Mom was waiting with the baby, the baby spit out the (green) binky and Mom reprimanded Dad with something like "He only likes the blue one."

Another episode of Stupid Dad - Smart Mom.

Can you imagine if the parents' roles were reversed?

None of the commercials were anything special. Yeah, they had some "nolstalgia bait" like the one with Travolta, but it was "meh". I mean, I saw Grease in the theater when I was a kid...I doubt many younger folks care about that flick.

Though I admit I liked the "Farmer's dog" one. But that is because I like dogs.

The commercials were, for the most part, utterly unwatchable and completely forgettable, so it's not worth anyone's time to compile a list!  Awful commercials combined with  a truly abominable halftime "show" made the SB "experience" an ordeal.  Nuke

I can't stand Travolta, and I hate the music in the movie, and I'm sick of those two morons from "Scrubs." The perfect Super Bowl commercial. Ermm

Long gone are the days of Super Bowl ads like this classic...

Miller Lite and Budweiser were the Super Bowl commercial kings.

The game was amazing. I'll take the game over the commercials - and I'm not particularly into Rihanna.
I'd love to see a SB halftime show with country acts only. Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, with a side of Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks.
Or heck, just Garth alone with a surprise appearance by his wife Trisha Yearwood. He knows how to do a stadium show!
Darius Rucker and Jimmie Allen would be awesome too given that Feb. is Black History Month.

I'd like to see them do away with musical stage acts altogether.

Come up with some other form of entertainment.

Costumed acrobatic performers and dancers acting out a story set to prerecorded music and narration over the PA system with pyrotechnics, laser lights, etc.

End it with a fireworks show.

Let Disney do it.

They're good at that sort of thing.

How 'bout live sex shows? With donkeys!

Or maybe Roman Colosseum type entertainment.

That would probably prove to be too popular.

Soon, the game itself would become the halftime show.

If the game was a blowout 35-7 at halftime...yeah, the halftime show would literally become the game. This year, the edge-of-your-seat thriller was playing out on live television to 100 million viewers. As the game went into and out of halftime, craziness was happening.
