Who's going to celebrate St Patrick's Day? I found out I'll be celebrating alone (Everyone I know is going out of town) so I'll be celebrating by myself. I went on a "Runt Hunt" and found a Corned Beef Brisket for less than $3.50, More than enough for supper and the Reuben Sandwiches I'll make on Tuesday. Wink
A recent poll says all the bad boys and girls would prefer getting lumps of coal from Santa Claus instead of a Pay-TV subscription!

I'm cooking a 4 lb brisket and all the fixings at my parents' house tomorrow.  We're not Irish, but any excuse to have the meal will do (and the brisket was on sale.)

Save some for Passover!

I'll continue with my split pea soup diet, I guess.  It's green, at least.

Have a jug of green tea and another of diet lime coca-cola, a tub cottage cheese with green chives and another of cilantro jalapeno hummus (not spicy - very tasty - very green, probably will not make it until tomorrow).
Got my green shorts all washed and ready.
Will be working, not celebrating - we're short-handed.

ConfusedI've received photos of rivers in Florida and Chicago being colored green for St. Paddy's Day.
There is an established 'Pub Crawl' that is tradition for almost 100 years, just south of us.
For the Irish, it is generally obligatory to attened - one of our great claims to fame is that we were plopped onto this earth for just these days, so we could fall down and pass out and ensure gravitational pull of the moon would not rip the very earth from beneath our mortal plowed selves, thus saving all of the rest of the world from certain horribly unimaginable death.
You can thank us anytime  with beer.
All the same, I seem to have lost the drive, or maybe energy, to continue as a leader for my culture...think it might be 'Low T'? Confused

Making Reubens tonight! Beloved made what I swear has to be his BEST CORNED BEEF EVER. When I get home I'll change into my "I (shamrock) NY" t shirt.

LOLMissyDWolf is snipping and biting at everyone - by 11 A.M. she had been in two cities and around 50 people, been pinched by about 30 - then came to hide and feel safe (fat chance!) at THE DEN!..."I'm NOT wearing GREEN because I DON'T have any clean green clothes! Leave me the hell alone!!!"
She is SO bruised (you can ACTUALLY see them) and pissed, she can't see straight...I went after her and she was all-out swinging ar me.
TOO much fun.
She's locked in the bathroom, soaking away the pinches in a bubble bath...which gave me enough time to hide all her dirty or clean green clothes...I'd say her best bet would be to stay where she is until tomorrow.

Who in THE hell would have the BALLS to grab MissyD like that without permission?
I'm guessing she didn't mind much or somebodies noggin would get a dent.

Picking up a 6 of Guinness Stout on the way home.  Stew is slow cooking in the crock pot as we speak, and will be good & ready to go when I get home.

Just had a slice of Irish Soda bread which was actually not bad for store bought. I just plum didn't have time to bake my own. Had to visit my mother on Saturday. It takes a lot out of me seeing her bedridden. Sharp as a tack but slowing down.

WinkJust went and snatched a few Molson's Ices for AfgyWolf & BadOl'Self - grabbed a movie, too! MissyDWolf is better and all 'loved up', so she's heading to the Gurlz' place while we hang in here, drink a few beerz, much an Irish Pizza, and watch the perfect movie for St. Paddy's Day.

Yea, we have to watch childrens' XMAS movies because we don;t have any decent family-oriented St. Paddy's Day flicks...

No.
'tis 'St. PaWolf's Day' - the day when all the faithful send food and financial contributions.
Get yer wallet out - here comes the collection plate.
