I just hope I don't hear that f**king REM song on the radio on the way home today.   I'll be changing it ASAP.

Whoever that guy is, he really looks like Woody Guthrie.

Sounds just like him, too.

Wonder if it's really him singing, or if they overdubbed the original recording.

Well, you could've looked right below the video on Youtube, where it says...

Dust Bowl Productions present "So long, It's been good to know Yuh". Preformed by Rob Tepper. Directed by Corey Brandenstein. Director of Photography J.T. Gurzi. Production Design by Jason Hawke Hamilton. Edited by Samuel Derek Parnell. Produced by Rob Tepper & Kym Carranza. Words & Music written by Woody Guthrie.
This video was created as a promotional stepping stone to help promote Dust Bowl Productions One Man Show titled 'When The Curfew Blows' written by Rob Tepper and Corey Brandenstein. The show stars Rob Tepper as Woody Guthrie and is Directed by Corey Brandenstein.
This video helped secure the blessing and support of Woody's daughter Nora Guthrie and The Woody Guthrie Archives and Foundation.

There are probably 100,000 metal songs which might work, too.

Oh yeah, I saw all that.

I just don't know whether or not to believe it.

Sounds too much like the original.

But then again, ya never know.

Probably half of Metallica's songs from their first 2 albums alone are in relation to war or Armageddon. And that of course is just one band in one 2 year span of work, so if you extrapolate it then 100K may not be all that farfetched of a guess.

This might work, too:

So chillin’ in the front seat (In the front seat)
In the back seat (In the back seat)
I’m drivin’, cruisin’ (Yeah, yeah)
Fast lanes, switchin’ lanes
Wit’ a car up on my side (Woo!)
(C’mon) Passin’ by is a school bus in front of me
Makes tick tock, tick tock, wanna scream
Check my time, it’s Friday, it’s a weekend
We gonna have fun, c’mon, c’mon, y’all

[Chorus]

It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin’ down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend

Partyin’, partyin’

Yeah

I think the best apocalyptic song is Leonard Cohen's The Future (the theme from Natural Born Killers).

Black Sabbath's Electric Funeral is up there, too.

Tomorrow I'll watch the following "End of the World" Movies:

2012
Crack in the World
The Day After Tomorrow
Independence Day

If I am still around after all of this I will watch my OFFICIAL 12/21 Movie, the 1951 A Christmas Carol Big smile
Where will you be when the lights go out on August 21st?

This would have to be my end of the world theme. Even though I'd be sad to be...well, dead, I don't think I couldn't help but revel in the amazing brilliance of nature achieving the zenith of her wrath to destroy every inch of the planet (Not that she will, but still...can anyone deny that that would be terrifying and beautiful simultaneously?

And who better than Ottorino Respighi to orchestrate it? :P

Although....

Sadly, no version without the audience. The cheering is because of different regenerations showing up on screen. Also, Vale Decim is being sung by a counter tenor. That alone makes it awe-inspiring.

What? I can be fickle at the end of the world, can't I?

Of course there's internet access in purgatory; it's just really slow, and you have to say your ejaculatory prayers to make it work (if you're Catholic, you know what ejaculatory prayers are).

ConfusedDead(MUST be the End of the world - I'm in pain and feel like sh*t from a cold and I'm tired and I'm poor and I prolly look ugly, an'my hair is stanin' up an' the Blackilliac is out of gas, an' MissyDWolf scared the sh*t outta me driving 100 MPH to work on wet roads (well, maybe 40MPH - but ya should've seen her take that curve!)).
~~~
"Poison Control Center...can You hold please?"
"Sure - but not for long..."
"How can I help you today?"
"I'm calling about loratadine overdose - my wife took five times the recommended dosage - she's REAL quiet right about now..."
"WHY did she do THAT?!"
"Well, she is pretty sick. When she's sick, she is cranky and snippy and doiesn't listen to anyone and she bites - I told her to take only ONE in 24 hours, so I think she tried to commit stupidcide by not believing me"
"She will live and prolly be groggy, but don't let her have anymore for at least 24 hours.."
"Why will she live? Do you promise?"
"Go check her - make sure she is breathing..."
<2 minutes and lots of screaming later>
<sobbing>"She's alive...I closed her nose until I saw the whites of her eyes in the dark, dark room...I'm all hurtin' & sh*t, now..."
"Sir? What's your zip code?"
"<blah.blah.blah>"
"Thank You - Have a good evening and never call here again...."
She slept fine, brought me coffee and apologies and kisses this morning...told me if I wasn't such an idiot, I wouldn't have come so close to death. I need to *give* her the medicine rather than let her try and figure out how much to take when she's sick. I need need to *give* her orange juice, too, like a good husband would...
