Good thing Sheldon Cooper has Leonard Nimoy's DNA on a napkin so he can recreate him.

I'm pretty sad today. He's not coming back this time.

I actually started looking for that segment earlier to post here, but I got sidetracked.  Funny scene!  Sheldon's reaction when Penny apologized for getting Nimoy's autograph on a used napkin was pretty funny.

Cry

I knew the time was coming for a while, as I heard that he was diagnosed with lung cancer and he said that he quit smoking 30 years too late. Regardless, I was devastated upon reading the obit on a fansite. Spock is one of my all-time favorite characters. This weekend, I'm going to pay tribute to Nimoy by playing some personal favorite Star Trek episodes, even some from the cartoon series, and movies 1 through 6.

I saw an interview clip of him earlier today, in which he commented that he had been an "Olympic class smoker" or something to that effect.

I had a sinking feeling when my Facebook gave me a message that he was in the hospital, so in a way I had a day or 2 to mentally prepare for this.

Yes, he was apparently a chain-smoker but he lived to 83, not a horrible age all said and done.

My dad, though not a chain smoker, smoked regularly since he was very young & he also lived to be 83.

I imagine if he had quit in his 40's or 50's, he might still be alive today.

He wouldn't have enjoyed it, though.

He liked his smokes.

The first *REAL* ship that he served on, if memory serves me correctly.
R.I.P. Mr. Spock; you'll be sorely missed.

Still love that ship. One of my favorites! More than the JJ Prise. Its sad now that of the original trio only Kirk (William Shatner) is left. Really depressing!

That pic, or a larger & higher res version of it, would make a great wallpaper for my tablet.

Think I'll find on & use it for a month or so, in honor of the late Spock.

Star Trek 6 is on right now, I think that's the final movie with the original cast.
