My bro told me about this, but when I looked it up, I couldn't find anything. Wikipedia was still saying "Dino Danelli is..." RIP, Dino. I think he's the first of the Rascals to die. Lotta great songs. |

One of my favorite lines in any song is from See. "Echoes of the everlsnd, discover who you really am* As far as number of hits, they're really up there. More than the Lovin Spoonful, less than the Four Seasons. |

An obviously forced rhyme that also just happened to work within the context and style of the song.
Or that verse. Managed to compliment the kind of trippy, psychedelic, altered perception overtones of "echoes of the everland". Interesting little glimpse of the creative songwriting process. |

That's why I like it. It makes no sense, but it totally works. Back then, I had the 45. The flip side was Away, Away. 70s hair band Angel did a nice cover of Ain'T Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore. |

We might be the only ones here who grew up listening to the Rascals. The epitome of a mondegreen came from these guys: "Life would be ecstacy, you and me and Lesley". Wha? Who's this Lesley? About 25 years ago, an old friend cleared it up for me. It's Leslie. Leslie West. Of Mountain. Felix and he were friends. Sounded plausible to me. Then I got the internet. 😖😆 |

There used to be a website about misheard song lyrics.
Some of them were pretty funny. I never could figure out what the hell Springsteen was saying in 10th Avenue Freeze Out. I thought it was something like Tent Devil Will He Freak Out? or something equally stupid. |
