Remember back in the 80s and 90s when we had syndicated movie packages practically everywhere you would turn? Nowadays, IIRC, we don't have those anymore.

Here's the opening from one such show, Columbia Night at the Movies, from a 1993 broadcast of the 1989 film The Big Picture, that w/Kevin Bacon (John Leader was the announcer):

I would wonder how many remember "Drive-In" movies?

Or ever been to one.

Come on...……….. Be honest...………….. yes or no?

I went to at least one drive-in movie as a little kid (as drive-ins were going out of fashion).   Can't recall the specific location but the movie I saw was "Death Ship".     Big smile

At 16 or 17. On a Friday night. There was only ONE PLACE to be.

The drive-in

Drinking beer and trying to impress the girls in the next car over >>>>

As you might have guessed...……….. The movie didn't matter. It wasn't being watched anyhow.

And I bet "The Big Picture" is pretty close to how things REALLY ARE!  in LaLa Land...…..
