No. That's MY opinion. Cider is cider and should not be confused or mixed with beer.

Can't tell that to all the kids just now of drinking age...they'll need this crap, as soon as they finish off that 6-pak of Miller 64. They need not worry about quality - Redd's is a Miller product (if the commercials didn't give that away).

I think it's more of a "lick" than that a "riff".

Speaking in purely technical terms anyway.

WinkNice point! That just reminded me of one thing that bugs the daylights out of me - notice how the 'apple-attack victims' seem a little 'mentally sharper' when they get up?

If the product is called Redd's Apple Ale, they shoulda got Red Peters to do their ads.

Woulda been a damn site more entertaining...

Yeah, I know my reaction to getting hit in the head with an apple would be "Hey, I'll have an apple ale!" rather than "Where's the motherf**ker that threw that apple?"...

It doesn't have any cider in it, it's just normal beer with apple flavoring. It's actually really good (especially in the heat), albeit a bit overpriced.

It is MILLER BEER with apple flavoring. Enjoy.
(I once spent a day at the Miller Brewery, in Milwakee, just trying to determine how they managed to bottle beer in a CLEAR bottle - I'll never drink Miller, now)

What I hate is when these beer ads claim their beer is "refreshing".

Bullsh*t. Beer is not refreshing. It's an alcoholic beverage & alcohol is a depressant.

Drinking beer in the heat will make your legs feel like they're filled with lead & make you want to lie down somewhere.

Cider is for pansies who can't drink real beer. And by real beer I mean a beer with actual flavor not the weak watered down stuff the big 3 specialize in.Angry

I actually LOVE cider - my favorite is the Woodchuck Granny Smith that's brewed in VT. I also like stouts though.... I'm all about variety. Although DirtyD - I also can't stand the likes of Bud, Miller and Coors Light. Ugh.

It's the big 2 now, Coors bought Miller a few years back, then Miller-Coors was purchased by Molson. Bud is owned by a Belgian company now as well. Sam Adams is the biggest American-owned brewer now, believe it of not.

Actually, it gets a little confusing; Molson bought Coors, Miller was bought by SAB (historically a South African brewer, now based in the UK), and 'MillerCoors' is a joint-marketing arrangement which consolidated all production of those two brands  in the US. SAB, Molson and Miller Coors are all run independently of one another. They still brew Miller in Milwaukee(among other locations), but the MillerCoors headquarters is in Chicago. This partnership has never been acknowledged in any advertising campaign, as far as I know, but the deal went through about five years ago.

Can't stand these. I hate the sound effects and generally get angry as soon as these come on.

Isn't an ad for booze supposed to make it look cool to drink?

Who the hell would want to be like the dork in the bar?
He's also one of those pussies who get nervous about what others will think about his choice of beer?

Laughed my azz off.  Thanks.

Had an apple thrown at the back of my head when I worked in a mental hospital, courtesy of a bat-sh*t crazy woman.  First thoughts were of Redd Apple MURDER (this all came about because I didn't warn her that the "b*tches" poisoned it.  Dammit, I should've warned her that the workers in the dining hall were evil and out to get her).

Hahaha, that's pretty awesome. Well, other than getting the apple thrown at you that is.

Every day in that place was an adventure.  The same woman who threw the apple at the back of my head would get up in my face daily (seriously, about nose to nose) and rant for a good 10 minutes about her delusions, then promptly and rapidly walk away.  I was the only person she would use as a sounding board like that.  One of her oft repeated rants was that there were snakes coming out of her vagina.  Apples and snakes, very biblical LOL

^  Oh yeah.  I'm familiar with the mental ward types.  Worked with them for a few years.  Never a dull moment.

Your mental case makes me think of Princess Clara from Drawn Together.  She had an octopus living in her vagina.

I never really watched that show, but maybe they did research with mental patients for their material?  LOL  Yeah, good times with mental patients though, that's for sure.
