Mom & Dad will eventually get old and feeble, depending on their kid they used to embarrass on the internet.

A parade celebration because a four-year old  took a dump in a potty?  Sick  Embarrasing.

They always say it has something to do with some sort of parental right of passage. They get to embarrass their kids and when their kids grow up they can do it too. Am I like the only sane person on the planet? I don't feel like making my kid feel like sh*t and be upset with me because I wanted to get a laugh at their expense. These same parents would be horrified if another child embarassed their kid at school, but it's perfectly fine for mom and dad to make them feel the same way...?

"Hey I know you just met Sally and you definitely want to "get to know" her a little more, but let me whip out the family photo album and tell her about the time you sh*t your pants at the county fair. Oh ha ha lighten up it's my job to embarrass you in front of your friends."

Some parents don't consider the fact that the kid they are embarrassing today will be the adult picking out their nursing home later.
"Let's tour this one, Mom....ooh, look! This one has chains and padlocks to keep you in your bed at night. And rats, too! Bonus! Remember how you showed every girl I brought home that picture of me after I sh*t myself at the fair? Well, I certainly haven't forgotten! Good luck with your new home, Mom...see ya!"

Obviously, you're not a mom! No way! No way! Sometimes one might delay because potty training is often as hard on moms as it can be on kids. It's such an abstract idea to kids that it's often very difficult to get them (especially boys) to understand what is expected of them. But there is NO WAY it's enjoyable enough to keep up the diaper bit just so you can play "mommy" longer. There are much more enjoyable ways to infantalize your children than that, LOL.

The only reason it's harder to train boys is because stupid gender standards require you to teach them an ineffective method that requires coordination they lack (And judging by men's bathrooms, many of them never acquire said coordination.

My mother had no issue with potty training. She taught me to sit down for both. When I was older I picked up standing up on my own, because of urinals at grade school.

Mind you, she did wait with me. I was about two and a half.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to do stand up pee training in like a bathtub? Or shower? The drain is a much smaller target than a toilet bowl, and it keeps the mess contained while they build up coordination.
It's ok, I'm in marketing!
