Auto racing, NFL. Whatever floats your boat.

It was a great opening game last night between the Bucs and the Cowboys.  Brady proved once again he is the GOAT!

Truex wins Playoff race at Richmond, JGR finishes 1 - 2 - 3. Kyle screwed up with a pit road penalty.

Joe Gibbs Racing has won the first two races in the playoffs.

F1 is finally exciting again!  What ever they did to level the playing field, it's working.

Italian GP: Ricciardo gives McLaren first F1 win since 2012

Louise and Max got together, Max still holds a 5 point lead in the points.  Hamilton is such a dick!

I didn't wait for the interview, I'm sure he was bitching how it wasn't his fault.

The HALO probably saved his life.  The tire might have smushed his cry baby face.

Lewis was lucky he wasn't killed in today's F1 race!

He caused the accident as he came out of the pits and veered left, forcing Verstappen to take evasive action causing him to hit the sausage links sending his car airborne and onto Hamilton's car!

But the stewards hand out the penalty to Verstappen. Idiots!

I saw that crash. I don't think it was that bad but it could have been much worse.

I thought having a wife and kids changed Kyle but I still think he has that young punk attitude at times.

An amazing finish for the Xfinity race last night at Bristol.  A J and Kaulig racing have done a amazing job.  Going against Team Penske and Cindric for the regular season points lead.  His dad (Cindric) is in upper management for Team Penske.

More drama at Bristol. Harvick and Elliott were racing in the top 5. It appeared Kevin ran into Chase on purpose, causing a flat tire and a pit stop.  Chase was not happy.  Harvick won 9 races last year but not a single win this year.  Larson gets his 6th win of the season.

The Bristol night race is one of my favorite races, and there's always drama. Last night was no exception. Congrats to Kyle on his 6th win.

Hamilton got his 100th win in dramatic fashion.  We could have seen a first time winner.

Josh Berry won his second Xfinity race as a sub fill-in driver for JR Motorsports.

I'm watching the Chiefs get their asses kicked by the Chargers.  The Packers play in the late game against the 49ers.

Indy race was exciting - congrats to Paulo on winning the Championship!

I was so hoping Lando Norris would win F1 today!

I have lost interest in the Indy Car series.  I do watch the highlights.

Exactly! Every other team was keeping an eye on the weather! He was this close to winning his first race! Oh well, there are a few races left so anything can happen!

I have followed IndyCar since it was called the CART series! Love my IndyCar races!

The end of the late game was freaking amazing.  Rodgers had 35 seconds, with no time-outs to get within field goal range.  Crosby hits the 51 yard field goal to win the game.  This is what makes the NFL worth watching.

Did you know the champion of the Indycar series gets to choose what car he would like to drive over the bricks at Indy? Palou chose a limo decked out like a chicken! Winner, winner, chicken dinner has never been more apropos! (Palou always enjoyed a bucket of chicken after a win)!

The Cleveland Indians finish the Cleveland Indians era (1915-2021).

This makes that era the MOST failed era in sports history!

Next year...they'll be The Cleveland Guardians...and their season is already over because of the owners...The Dolans!

The guy who wants to buy my house is from Cleveland.  A former boss was also from Cleveland.  He was crazy about Bernie Kosar!

I think the Brewers are locked into the playoffs.  The Bucks won the national championship.  We'll see how the Packers do this afternoon.

Crazy ass win for the Packers in Cincy.  The Field Goal kickers could not score to save their asses!

Kyle Larson took home the championship at Phoenix, in what was an amazing comeback when people wondered last year if he'd ever race again. I'm glad Rick Hendrick gave him a 2nd chance.

Bill Maher made a pretty funny joke about it.

Something about either the first time... or... not being used to...

...seeing traffic actually moving in Los Angeles.

Was that the first time NASCAR has ever raced in Los Angeles or even California?

This is the first time in a long time they've raced in the actual city. They also race in the LA suburb of Fontana and there's a road course in Sonoma (wine country).

Went to the Indy 500 a few weeks ago. Marcus Ericsson of Sweden won the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Scott Dixon nearly won until he sped on pit road, costing him a victory. Rookie and NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson crashed out launching a dash to the finish that ended under caution. We went to our hotel a few hours later and watched a crash filled Coca-Cola 600 that ended with Denny Hamlin winning.

In other news, Joey Logano won the first Cup race at St. Louis and Daniel Suarez became the first Mexican to win a Cup race last week at Sonoma.

Tyler Reddick won the cup race at Road America, his first one, meaning it's the first time the #8's won their first race since Jr. in 2000 at Texas.

Joey Chestnut won the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on Monday. Crutches didn't stop him from eating 63 dogs in 10 minutes and even fighting off a heckler at the very end.

Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, and Ross Chastain are the final 4 who could walk away with the championship this coming Sunday. Chastain did a video game move by riding the wall as he crossed the finish line at Martinsville yesterday. That move will be talked about for years to come I'm sure. You have to see it to believe it.

Joey Logano won this year's NASCAR Cup Series championship. In a tragic situation, Ty Gibbs lost his father Coy Gibbs unexpectedly the day after he won his Xfinity Series Championship. Coy was the son of famed Washington Football coach and NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs, meaning Joe's now outlived two of his sons. R.I.P. Coy.

I think Demar Hamlin is one of the biggest feel-good stories of the year. He went into cardiac arrest and collapsed during the game between the Bills and Bangles. For 48 hours, we didn't know if he'd survive, but everything after was a miracle. He woke up after being sedated in which the doctors told him he won the game of life after asking, "Who won the Game?". In the weeks since, he is smiling, laughing and even up to going out to support his team at practice. His charity has had the biggest donations ever in the wake of the near-tragedy. What a class act.

Great that he survived and recovered so well, but that part of the story, I don't believe. You wake up in a hospital bed, and your first question's gonna be "What the hell happened to me?"

I'm certainly glad to hear he's going to be ok, but honestly I was sick of hearing about him after three or four days of around the clock, hourly updates on his condition followed by some news readers slobbering all over themselves about how wonderful he is.

After ten days of it, I was ready to chuck the TV into the back yard.

Worse yet, a couple of days after Hamlin's medical episode, another (ex) NFL player named Peyton Hillis nearly died while saving his two young children from drowning in the ocean.

He was hospitalized in critical condition for about the same amount of time as Hamlin, having just been released today.

Got reported two, maybe three times.

Josef Newgarden won his first Indy 500 on Sunday, after 3 red flags, one of which a tire went up into the parking lot. No one was hurt, but the vehicle was owned by a track employee, and the track gave her a new car. Ryan Blaney also won the Coca-Cola 600, which was delayed from its unusual Sunday night into Memorial Day afternoon, due to rain and mist, which there were a few delays on Monday for.

Two 4th of July sports highlights:

New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen won his first NASCAR Cup Series race in just his first race at the Chicago Street Course, the first annual event there. He qualified 3rd and charged his way through the field to win in the first time a driver won in their first race since the early 60's!

Joey Chestnut proved he's still the king of competitive eating by eating a total of 62 hot dogs at this year's Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island in NYC. The contest was delayed due to heavy rain, lightning and flooding, but they were able to get it done in two hours.
