In Omaha, this abomination is adapted to the name and logo of (Kroger-owned) Baker's. I'm not sure how many Kroger-free zones are left in this country.

Ugh! The figures would be irritating to look at without animation. I actually like the song, but that damn dancing almost makes Toyota Jan usable as eyebleach!

Kroger has been using these characters since November. They're definitely very cheesy.

In Northwest Ohio, the stores are branded under the Kroger name.

Kroger's was a popular chain in Indiana. I believe they bought out a chain here called Copps.

Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. operates all Copps, Metro Market and Pick 'n Save grocery stores in Wisconsin. Roundy's itself is a subsidiary of Kroger Inc., the nation's largest supermarket chain, which merged with Roundy's in 2015. Most Copps stores have already switched over to Pick 'n Save as a way for Roundy’s to simplify its business and to improve efficiency, value and consistency for customers, said James Hyland, vice president of communications and public affairs of Roundy’s Supermarkets.

Kroger is another corporate Pac-Man. I think there are a few American places without Kroger - but I don't think they have TV, either.

I knew I could count on logging into "Commercials I Hate" and seeing this puke-worthy commercial mentioned. Dead

Hate it!!

At first I thought the Kreepy Krogi was a woman with male-pattern baldness Shocked Then I get treated to a close-up of the cartoon "leg hair", which could pass for blood splatter Shocked

At the end, I feel sorry for the Kroger employee who has to load the groceries into the trunk of this freak's car, as it stands on its head in the front seat, pumping its legs into the air.

Heh heh, my 9 year old daughter loves this commercial and thinks it's funny as heck. I swear, I think the commercial was edited to add the "leg hair" because I remember the first few times I watched it I wasn't sure if the person was male or female. :p

Kroger's is just Kroger's here in Texas.

Really, Kroger? Fisher Price toy people?
My daughter works for Kroger on the overnight shift, and was "encouraged" choose one of the FP icons as her ID on her badge. After she "lost" the badge three times they gave up.
And the old balding fruit with the pony tail having an epilectic fit in the car?
Surely there MUST be someone at Kroger who will come to his senses and rid us of this crap.

More eye ipecac courtesy of the Kroger

The limbo is such a cliché, too.

I didn't care for this annoying song 13 years ago and still don't care for it now.

You're right about your avatar too.

HA that sounds about like Kroger

Surely there MUST be someone at Kroger who will come to his senses and rid us of this crap.

Just as surely at Toyota-someone is sick of PAT-and at Lib Moo--someone is sick of Emu/Doug &
the ULTIMATE--someone at Progressive snaps out of their coma & realizes Flo/Jamie/Tara are CRAP

Unfortunately, commercials - especially series commercials - are shot way in advance. Many different commercials for a product are edited from a large pool of A-Roll. So you will, alas, see more of the same crap (different editions) for some time. Even if today someone at LM or Progressive decreed "No More Jamie", it is likely that the End of Jamie " (Oh, that we could live to see that day!) would come for months if not more.
For example, if you look at the commercials for the psoriasis medicine, you will see the newest releases show footage of the original characters not seen before . The woman in the pink outfit, for example. She was absent from the second wave and is now back in the third wave, but it is obvious the footage is from the same shoot day.

Wonder if Kroger is paying Fisher Price a royalty for using their characters? As toys, they were OK. As an advertising meme, not only no, but Hell no!

i like how they occasionally recut those dumb psore he asses commercials to 'freshen' them up even though its the SAME damn ppl from previous footage--the latest with fat Tiger Woods (pool), Mom Queen Latifah (baseball) and some other archetypical nebbish is the worst

Okay, everyone is going to hate me for this, but that's ok.

I actually kinda like both of those commercials.

Or at least don't see anything all that bad about them.

And I've always liked that 'I'm Too Sexy' song by Right Said Fred, too.

I think I like it because IMO, they're mocking those kinds of people and making fun of them.

The only commercials I really hate, are the ones with certain kinds of people in them, who give me the impression that the ad is trying to appeal to the kind of people who think they're cool or hot sh*t or somehow superior in some way.

I do like "I'm Too Sexy", so I don't have a problem with that, but I never really liked "Low" by Flo Rida. It was annoying in 2007 and still annoying today.

To my mind the FRY's (kroger) ad with the im too sexy song

is right up there with the UBER EATS "splitsies" AD

where the hairy guy is wearing a stolen leotard

just because its animated you cant hide the insinuated message

HAIRY OLD DUDE IN  CIRCA 1980'S  WOMENS WORKOUT CLOTHES IS NOT COOL !

IT f**kING CREEPY PERIOD.  ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY

another in a long line of how many  Spandex Ballets will we need to endure

the very least they could do is slap a little Nair on that pig first... shave it please!

and save us from  the visual of the tuck under !

Every Kroger store is using the 'fresh for everyone' campaign and the animated workout dude now. That includes Fred Meyer, our Northwest grocery/department store. They got rid of the 'What's on your list today?' slogan that they had since...early '90s I think? and in late 2019 replaced it with this new thing.
We don't have a Walmart in our town, so F.M. is the place for clothing, electronics and household goods. I've always been a fan of that store. Albeit it gets packed on weekends.

"The two newest Uber Eats commercials, featuring talented gymnast Simone Biles, includes the well-known 'non-binary' Jonathan Van Ness wearing one of Simone's leotards," One Million Moms says in a  https://onemillionmoms.com/current-campaigns/new-uber-eats-ads-are-damaging-to-young-viewers/" rel="nofollow - statement  on its website. "In  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VKeiNjM-AM#link=%7Brole:standard,href:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VKeiNjM-AM,target:_blank,absolute:,linkText:one%20commercial,%7D" rel="nofollow - one commercial,  she gives him a strange look and tells him he can keep her leotard because she doesn't want it back now that he has worn it."

"Casting a cross-dresser in its ads screams liberal agenda and turns off potential Uber Eats customers," the statement continues.

In the spot, Van Ness is wearing an outfit that is identical to the traditionally female outfit that Biles is wearing.

I'm guessing that's how they got the 'we're all in this together' Covid ads all up and running within days of restrictions and the start of stay-home orders in mid to late March? All this A and B-roll of kids staring out a window, kids on FaceTime with grandma, families cooking together, nurses rushing through hospitals, etc etc?
If so, doesn't that seem a little creepy? Like some advertisers were expecting a crisis to happen long before March??
