Yes, dear chilluns - THAT was the way we were welcomed into the CIH neighborhood so many years ago...just as it was with YOU, and yet, we proved beyond a shadow of a doubt everyone is human and nobody is above the law. Soooo...we got to go sit in the corner, in 'time out', and reflect on our <shudder> sins...well, I THINK we did, but, alas...both 'The Cholera' (yours truly) and 1/2 of 'The Black Plague' (my beloved brother in arms and the ass-end of 'The Twins') are a bit long in the teeth and certainly, being 'men of the earth', we very possibly got lost on the way to the corner...sooooooo...how long have we been missing? 30 days? Seems like eternity, but again, sometimes change is good. Well, just to update all, they found us somewhere in the Alsace region, doncha know...

I DO INDEED remember having a pretty good time before they came and quarantined us, then sent us home to oversee our beloved minions...

I didn't even need all my meds, that day!Big smile

Now...we all know everyone is excited to have us back and appreciate all showing up at the free concert for our release - and then having the below great time during 'Death to Morons' (a suggested theme song by our French political activist friends), but please...let's keep the roar to a minimum - we intend on trying to behave ourselves a little better, now...and being kinder, more gentle jerks...

Yes, yes...thanks to all who petitioned for our 'early release'...

Wink...and of course there were the 'travel days' during 'the ban'...if you can't be on CIH, you may as well find what else you are about. You may find yourself traveling far and wide during that exploratory phase of finding yourself, again.
Always remember!
One must be careful with whom they decide to let look after and entertain them during these times - if you take to the 'high seas' with the French, they can take a little 'getting used to', doncha know. They have always been a little too 'free thinking' and freaky for me, but they can be funny as can be.
Here's a little story ('My Boot Up Your Ass') by 'The 3 Cheeses':

Shocked When choosing a place to stay abroad, sometimes it is best to choose wisely - do your research. Do it after you have learned to speak the local language...and realize the local youth may have gangs, but when the gangs see fresh meat/old meat on the street, they gang together and approach together. Sometimes the results aren't so good, sometimes they're incredibly great, and sometimes you wake up feeling like you spent the night with the 'Squirrel Sisters' and swear you'll never eat pistachios again...those WERE pistachios, right???!!!

"You can never go home again" is probably more true than most realize - or at least for me it is...I spoke French until I was probably 5 or 6 as we lived in France when I was a pup. Place used to scare me, doncha know...everything was haunted and everyone was weird. I left knowing I never wanted to marry a French girl, especially since nobody had introduced razor blades to them and many of the women my parent's age had more hair under their arms or on their legs than I had on my head...never wanted to sing those blues...these days? I don't understand the lingo anymore and deodorant is still a luxury item.

Confused...I think I need to go back to France...or at least Montreal or Quebec City for a break where I don't understand anything more than I want to...

Shocked When in France, don't ask for directions from strange people - you might make one too many left turns...
