You know ... I like ice cream as much as anyone. But I am sick to death of Dairy Queen commercials. They just seem to get dumber and dumber AND DUMBER over the years. You do any search for my posts on this site and there's a good page or two of just Dairy Queen comments. And not only that, their idiot night shift employees can't cook a freaking burger properly.

So yeah, anyway, the latest campaign from these champions of dickery features some random dork doing annoying voiceover work, rivaling that of Ving Rhames or that AT&T chick. I want to punch this guy. In the face. Multiple times. Shut up, MUTE, click, fast forward, get OUTTA HERE YOU FREAKING TWIT! And the word is CARAMEL, not CARMEL, you stupid stinkwad.

destroy... destroy... destroy... Pinch

So many years of torture from the stupid adholes of Dairy Queen. That guy with the porn 'stache playing the dolphin guitar, the one with the "spoon duel," the Smores song, that fugly guy who keeps saying "I like bacon" ... You know what, Dairy Queen? Go to Hell. Your commercials suck, your service sucks, your food sucks, you suck. DQ also stands for "disqualify," so you know what? I disqualify you. You know why? Because you suck. You suck, you suck, you suck. Go to Hell. Go. To. Hell. Tongue

I'm most annoyed that they don't have chocolate (not the ones I've been to, anyway).  What kind of ice cream place doesn't have chocolate ice cream?  They have all that other crap to throw into their ice cream, but they don't carry the most basic of flavors??!

But you've said here before, that on the rare occasion when you buy ice cream, you always just get vanilla anyway.

The Canadian commercials for the chain are irritating in their own way. Our friends north of the border get tortured with narration of DQ food TALKING to you. No kidding. As in, "I am the Peanut Buster Parfait. I am not Fast Food. I am Fan Food."

It brings to mind this "classic" anti-drug educational scare film from the '60s. I guess the blonde bombshell bought her hot dog at DQ.

At least the Dairy queen announcer says  "Carmel" instead of the stupid ass "Caraamaal" Which to some is the new pronunciation.  Hey, Dairy Queen is the major employer of countless high School kids in small Hicksville towns across the USA along with McDonald's.  On my few back road travels through Illinois south, I stop in for a treat.

It's the principle, Goddammit!

Actually, lately I've been getting Friendly's Chocolate/Vanilla half-gallons, and sort of swirling the two flavors together.  That's when I'm not eating Breyer's Mint Choc Chip.

Sorry---Carmel is a town on the CA coast.  Caaah-ruh-mel is the pronunciation of the sticky, sugary stuff.

I'm happy to hear how you're growing as a person!!!

Because I'm currently on a 100% no sugar diet, I've had to look for ways to come up with a substitute for ice cream, and I found a pretty good one.

I get Sugar Free Cool Whip (keep it frozen), sugar free chocolate syrup (Great Value) and sugar free chocolate pudding cups (4 pack).

I scoop a pudding cup into a bowl, then scoop 1/4 of the tub of (still frozen) SFCW on top of the pudding, then squeeze some sugar free chocolate syrup over it all.

Quite delish and no sugar whatsoever.

If those wild fires get much bigger, it might not be one for much longer.

Isn't there any sugar-free ice cream out there?  I know there's ice cream with "no sugar added".

I just had some bloodwork done.  I'm just short of "pre-diabetic", so I should probably watch that stuff, too.  I know I have to lower my cholesterol.  For me, that mostly means cutting back on cheese.
