    Posted: 01 Aug 2008 at 10:40pm
This ad features a woman getting on a bus and sitting next to some smelly fat f**k. Anyway, she pulls out this magical floating power outlet, then plugs a febreze into it. Everyone on the bus starts smiling and swooning over the masterful creation. So the narrator goes something like, "Don't you wish you could take the fresh scent of febreze anywhere?" And that's it. The ad ends. No, "Well now, you can!" No shocking twist to introduce a new product. Nothing. They call this bullsh*t marketing?

That's stupid. It doesn't make me want to buy Febreze. "If our product were portable, that would be awesome, but it's not... so... uh...  bye."

Also, welcome, OP!

That's what I felt the commercial was leading to as well, the path they took makes no sense. Oh your sitting next to some smelly fat f**k on a bus? Well be glad your house smells nice, we can't help you here Confused

Yeah, glad I'm not the only one who thought that - I was waiting for the new travel version of the product.  I had the exact same dialogue running through my head after watching - "Don't you wish there was a travel version of our product so you can have the fresh smell of febreze everywhere like this fictitious woman with her fake plug-in on a bus window?  Huh?  Dontcha?  Huh?  Well, you CAN'T HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA"

Don't they still sell Febreze in a spray, which technically you could take anywhere?
Let's try not to be boring, mkay?

Yes.
MissyD keeps some handy at all times and she's not afraid to use it; she'll pull it out anywhere (using common sense, of course).

Buying a small spray bottle and filling it would do the trick.
I don't know what these people were thinking when pitching this commercial idea.
Perhaps a febreze pine tree to hang around your neck?
was feeling nostalgic

THAT is exactly what MissyD did.

no only that but the "plug" looks cheap as hell, it looks so dumb with that 'floating' effect. Dead
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off
