Okay, I admit, this one was cute at first.  WAS cute.  At FIRST.  TWO YEARS AGO!
Now, every time I hear that "pling-plingpling-pling" music I race for the mute button!
It has at LEAST three things that make it hateable:  The music.  The crunching sounds.  The schmaltziness.  Yeah.  And plus it's WAY too old: replace it with something new already, dammit!

I hate it for the spooky overdone internet eye contact between father and son.

I so very much agree, HR.
I know the ad well...every stinkin' time it plays - and 'Dad' shows his face, well...I think 'pedophile', and proceed to get upset.
So 'Dad' is traveling to far-away places...yea, sure fine...been there, done that - but he reminds me of those sickos we read about.
This commercial is troubling.

I agree. As soon as that music plays at the beginning, I just cringe.  The eye contact is weird and I hate the sound of the drips of milk and crunching...ick!

Haha...I always think "pedophile" too when I see the dad.  He just has THAT look about him.
Plus, the way he looks at the kid is creepy.  I agree, the eye contact is just weird.

This one bugs me because in a sense, they're saying it's OK for the dad to have cookies for breakfast. If it were the other way around and the son was eating cookies for breakfast, they'd probably have a wall of counselors at the school to deal with it.

I don't even think I've noticed the eye contact thing. Oh yay! Something to look forward to.

Creepy.  Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it is pervy.

Some of you  need to lighten up. It's a fatherv on a business trip saying good night to a son. I bet some of you were even kissed by your dad as a child. did you gag then?

Confused..."lighten up"?!
Of course all our Dads gave us a kiss when we were just chilluns!
(then again, when I was a kid, I once knew another kid whose dad tried to 'French Kiss' him, shortly before 'Dad' went to jail...think that kid's 'Dad' looked a lot like the 'Dad in the commercial...)
This is a COMMERCIAL - and, to SOME of us, maybe - oh, just a little bit - spooky and weird.

I agree with MrButler. That commercial did not in any way represent pedophilism.  Geez people!

I never thought pedophilia on this one. CIH just corrupted a commercial for me!

It's still creepy, with the way too intense eye contact.

Not pedophilia.

Confused(I dunno...either we've sanitized this board a bit too much, or well...we're full of 'victims' (from 'Criminal Minds'))
...the way *I* read "Dad's" face...Nope! He's not babysitting MY kids!

Last night's "Criminal Minds" was sick....

Howsoever, I still think the commercial was just trying to show the love between a son and his dad.  The "creepy, intense" eye contact reminded me of a game we called "Blink". My son and I would stare at each other and the first to blink lost. I bet many of you played that at one time and if someone only saw you staring at your opponent, they may think it was creepy as well.

It was. And it drove me crazy. Because it's a CLIFFHANGER! AUGH!

But this ad doesn't creep me out. Sure, they should be eating Newman Os because Oreos suck compared to Newman Os.
In fact I'll have some right now as I can stand the texture of Newman Os, warmed up in milk, but not this nice dinner I made the other day.

The boy should say "God Day...dad".

The "Good Morning" sh*t is too sucky!
Thank God for kids who love Obscure Things.

I have always gotten the pervy vibe from this commercial. I have always hated. The part that really makes me want to toss my cookies (lol), is when they pry the cookie apart, lick the cream, put the cookie back together and eat it. This just grosses me out to no end. It seems obscene and why are you licking your cookie before eating it?

because it has "Cream" in it? I do it with my newmanos, but usually they are warm and melty from the oven.
They don't dunk the cookies long enough.

I can't say I've done that much. I hated the old Oreo commercials too with the kids making a mess with the milk and all.
