The ARES Dbag is a Brit sub-par Pythonesque actor who has knocked about in bad ads for a real long time--occasional pop=ups as 'obnoxious Brit' on sitcoms as well...he's pretty bad

Moral of the Story:  Don't leave free yogurt laying around at your house/workplace, or he'll show up...

I hate, hate, hate yogurt.  Tastes like something left in the fridge too long and spoiled.  Makes me want to hurl.  Sick

I have never tried it and I never will!

What is Yogurt?

From a regulatory point of view, Yogurt is a milk product obtained by fermentation of milk specific microorganisms, which shall be viable, active and abundant in the product Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus.

Codex Alimentarius. Milk and Milk Products. Second Edition. FAO/OMS, 2011

How is yogurt made?

Manufacturers have responded to the growth in yogurt consumption by introducing many different types of yogurt, including Greek yogurt, low-fat and no-fat yogurt, creamy, drinking, bio-yogurt, frozen, etc… However, the basic ingredients and manufacturing are essentially consistent:

It's like a sub-culture!

I posted this in the Flame Room last decade.  It explains yogurt's origins much better:

Quote When it was first eaten* and named thousands of years ago, "yogurt" was actually pronounced "yyrrrggrrtt" (by making a strangling/vomiting sound in the back of the throat.  Go ahead, try it.), a quite apt description for it at the time.  Of course, nowadays, the putridness is strained out and a lot of sugar is added, but the name still echoes yogurt's origins....

*  Life was hard back then, so people ate whatever they could find.  Not having modern highways made finding roadkill difficult, so if all you had was a month-old bowl of curdled goat's milk on hand, well, you made a feast of it.  Throw in some tasty yyrrrggrrtt drowned flies (nature's winged raisins) and even the kiddies would be asking for seconds....

LOL
