On it's way to the top of my hate list!

This women is a "not so great third base coach",  but a caring Walgreens pharmacist/kids baseball coach who keeps stopping the game to spray them down with sunscreen, make sure they use germ hand spray if they have to "high 5", and then again stop the game to give the kid about to bat an inhaler since the "ragweed and pollen are murder".

Question...  Do they call the game over at about a half an inning because she keeps interferring or does the game last like a week?  Not that I want to give the advertisers any ideas, but they didn't cover scrapes, cuts, one of them hit by a ball and getting a bruise and OMG! what if one of them dares to slide into home plate?  Does she have an oxygen bottle hidden in her back pocket?

Go away you OCD woman and just let the kids play the game....let them be kids!

Seriously kids getting dirty actually helps build their immune system. This is why so many kids these days have allergies, because momsy and dadsy are so scared and want to keep little junior inside a hermetically sealed bubble for his whole life.

I got plenty of bumps bruises scrapes cuts and Joe Pesci knows what else when I was a kid and ya know what I did? I sucked it up, washed it off, and then ran right back out the door for more. It's called being a kid.

No, allergies are caused (at least more often then not) by children not being exposed to dirt and germs at a young age. If a child is always kept clean, then their immune systems never learn how to respond to things, like pollen and animal dander, that actually aren't harmful. They essentially go on perpetual attack mode.

The reason why anti-bacterial stuff isn't so good is that the more we use it, the more bacteria evolves and becomes resistant. We are essentially helping with the development of superbacteria.

I agree. It's evolution at work- the kids who get banged up a little more become more resistant to their environments. The kids who get coddled and protected, their body goes "Oh, so the world is something to be afraid of," and they are weaker.

Good! Let's start weeding them out.

(sorry - feeling sarcastic against kids - I just came back from the supermarket where 1 was screaming his lungs out).

But I thought allergies could also be caused by being exposed to too much of something.
