It was inevitable...cash4gold.com has come out with another commercial.  This one is slightly less grating, but still has at least one memorable character...a large African-American lady who happily (and stereotypically) states that she "sent in her gold JURY and took the vacation of a lifetime!"Dead

They are such SCAM ARTISTS. There's a lot more coming out & advertising like crazy since the economy's gone sour.

I'd bet that the amount she received almost covered the cost for a bus ticket to Debuque (which I hear is lovely some times of the year.... LOL

Ja what the hell is up with all these turning gold into cash commercials? Just think of how many people get scammed by this (I have a strong feeling a lot of older folks) Also, a lot of "gold" jewelry is only gold PLATED. Most people do not know how to distinguish a difference. I know I wouldn't unless I KNEW what I was getting. So really..you would get less money for the gold plated stuff, or maybe they wouldn't use it at all. I honestly don't know but it was a thought.

You're probably right with the "old people."  They're the kind that probably wouldn't dare set foot in a pawn shop and might not be able to get around to different jewelry stores.
So they see this quack on TV explaining just how easy it is by mailing your gold in a "guaranteed" envelope.
BS. Unless you take your package to the Post Office and insure it, it's not guaranteed. They
can easily say they never received your package & then its their word against yours.Angry

And it's not "cold hard cash" like they mention, it's a check.......hopefully not of the rubber kind.

I want all cash4gold commercials destroyed!!    They really pissed me off last night.   I was watching Malcolm in the Middle repeats on the local FOX station and they had weather crap on the screen.   A map at the top and a crawl pushing up the bottom of the screen.    It was on during the entire show, but as soon as they went to commercial, which was a cash 4 gold commercial, THE CRAP WENT AWAY!!!   And every commercial break aired completely clean!!   WTF!!    If a weather warning is important, then why do they act like the stupid cash for gold commercial is more important?  I smell a new topic...

That lady has for some reason switched from saying "and got cash the very next day" to something along the lines of "and I got so much money!" I guess they realized that unless that pre paid envelope is overnight that would be physically impossible Tongue

That's something that really bothers me - commercials that are just slightly different from the originals, with a different voiceover or different lines for the characters. Pisses me off. My memory is bad enough as it is, without these jerks slightly changing things around like a twilight zone episode.

For a commercial that talks about gold you'd expect better quality. Never did like these ads. Also they look like the make up was horribly over done.

They act like everybody just has a bunch of gold jewelry laying around. If you've got jewelry you don't want and you need money, wouldn't most folks have already pawned it before seeing these ads and shipping it off in an envelope hoping for some money in return? I don't know, it's just that not everybody has a box full of gold. *grumble*

And them saying it's secure is also BS. Yeah, uh-huh,  it's sooo secure sitting in an envelope that has the Cash4Gold address on it.

Yeah, once you've licked that "secure" envelope and put it in the mailbox, you'll hear this little voice from within.

Even then it would take at least two days for her to get her check - they'd first have to get the envelope, then send the check on the day that they got the junk that she sent, so then it would probably get back to her the next day, if cash4gold overnighted it, which is very doubtful (the overnight fees would probably cost more than the money they were sending her).LOL

Good thing I put in these plastic gold neckless, rist band, and pen, or I'd be very sad and angry.

I saw one of these scam companies on CNBC or some other business related channel.  I can't remember exact details, but the asswipe from the sh*t company said they received something like a few hundred packages a day or several thousand a week.  Either way, the number of gold packages this assclown claimed his company received was astonishing.  This scam freaking works, big time.  These scamming assholes are nothing but f**king conquistadors.  Anyone sending sh*t to these jerks, obviously doesn't know the value of old, broken, tangled gold.

If they ever get their check for ~5% of the true value for their sh*t, they are happy taking grand vacations and being able to put incredible amounts of gas in their car.  Ya.  One idiot on the new crap commercial said he was able to buy more gasoline than he ever imagined.
SO I GO ON VEHIX.COM!....GOT A CAR TO SELL!....BUYING A CAR IS HARD!

What's really ironic I bet is that the way people are these days; they see something and just have to fucking have it RIGHT THEN!! So out comes the trust ole credito cardo, and with the Wilma Flintstone/ Betty Rubble battle cry, "Da Da Ta Daaaa Ta Da....CHARGE IT!!" they slay the dragon of greed!!  Poor bastard.......never had a chance!!

NOW......several months later.......another dragon called DEBT is breathing fire right up the bunghole!! OH SHIT......WHAT TO DO????? I know, I'll sell all that fuckin' jewelery, and pay my credt card payments!!

Sadly, SOOOO sadly, I bet this has happened waaay more times than we want to admit. Wouldn't that be more like renting the jewlery, but after you returned it, you still had to pay for it?? LOL

Along the same lines here, I can't STAND those commercials with Gordon G. Liddy in them, about where he buys his gold. I COULD NOT CARE LESS where this son of a rabid BITCH gets his fucking gold!! I DON'T CARE!!!! STFU ALREADY GGL!!!
AW DAMN!!!! Wild Shot the friggin TV again!!!
