The wife does ffeed the birds  but we don't provide lodging. We have enough birds crashing into the glass,  besides I bet they would crap all over the window.

I'm pretty sure I could think of 10,000 things that would be more interesting to spend my money on, but I guess for older folks or people who just generally enjoy bird-watching, it's a pretty novel idea.

Horrible commercial, meh product, but honestly it's a better idea than like 90% of the as-seen-on-TV "why the hell would I ever need this?" products.

Yeah no thanks here. I have enough of those chirping singing bastards hanging around my bedroom window as it is.  The last thing I need is to give them a open invitation.

LOL  A bird lover I see, Embrace the morning!
I would never mount this stupid thing on any of my windows.
The outside glass is single payne[sp] storm windows. Put some protrusion on the glass and you asking for it to get broken.

The damn birds in my neighborhood don't understand the concept of time. They chirp at all hours of the night! Can you imagine having this in your backyard with those nocturnal warblers? It'd be open season every freakin' night!

I don't think the search feature works to well. ^ I thought I remember seeing it here.
I just looked up the Post Shredded Wheat thread, I wrote it. The search gave me nothing.

When I was a kid pheasants crowed under my bedroom window. 50 years later I have a lonesome dove that starts before daylight. There must be something wrong with him as I have seen female doves answer his call and after a few seconds fly away. I think he is using 1970s disco pick up lines. I have a 70' tall sequoia next to my driveway. birds love to roost in it. I park my car far away from the tree and it is still shat upon. The worst is when the swallows come back from Capistrano. The little Stukas dive bomb it all summer long.

Oh, you're a bird watcher?  Well, would you take this for a swallow?

Doves mate for life.  If one in the couple dies, they mourn for a long time before they move on.  Sometimes they stay alone.  That's why they call 'em Mourning Doves.

I like most birds especially raptors. My doves are ring necks. They are native to Africa. They were bred and released in CALIFORNIA! They are now invading Oregon. They are larger than our native mourning doves and are taking over.

It wouldn't be long before horny squirrels find that and hump their reflections like mad.  After the third or fourth time within a couple of hours of someone having to hose it out to clean off the glass, it will end up in the garbage can....  LOL

I find it amusing that it includes a "Do Not Disturb" sign. What, is that for the other birds to see and make sure to stay away? Are cats going to see that sign and be like "oh nevermind, I was gonna try to get what was in this box but now I'll let them be"?

Melancholy in their cries
Devoid of all the passion
The human spirit cannot die"

Around here there are mostly Mockingbirds, Pigeons, and Grackles.  The Grackles like to perch by the billions on power lines that go over streets  .. I swear they do it for target practice to see who can score the most hits on the passing cars down below.
