I don't know why, but this commercial creeps me out.  The little girl saying "mama", "mama"... in slow motion sounds like the beginning of Ghost Adventures or something.  It's just eerie.  Maybe it's because she's saying "mama".  I don't know any kids that say that.  It's either mom, or mommy if they're little, or mother if they're mad.  Mama is pretty old school.  Anyway, it's nightmarish.

I learned something today!  Sleep can be an elusive thing for me. The wife and I were Mama and Papa to our beloved Shepherd dog Leah. It just kinda stuck.

Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder characterized by overwhelming daytime drowsiness and sudden attacks of sleep. People with narcolepsy often find it difficult to stay awake for long periods of time, regardless of the circumstances. Narcolepsy can cause serious disruptions in your daily routine.

Sometimes, narcolepsy can be accompanied by a sudden loss of muscle tone (cataplexy), which can be triggered by strong emotion. Narcolepsy that occurs with cataplexy is called type 1 narcolepsy. Narcolepsy that occurs without cataplexy is known as type 2 narcolepsy.

Narcolepsy is a chronic condition for which there's no cure. However, medications and lifestyle changes can help you manage the symptoms. Support from others — family, friends, employers, teachers — can help you cope with narcolepsy.

I can't complain but sometimes I still do

It is absolutely creepy!  It's a mini horror movie. That little (unsupervised!) child's wistful wailing "Mahh-mahh? Maaahhh-mahhh!!!" is chilling to hear and Mama herself looks...dead.  Those black circles under her eyes make her look cadaverous and when she says that she waited too long to get help - what the heck does that mean?  Did she burn down the house when the pot on the stove boiled dry?  Did she drop dead on the counter?  Didn't Dad notice at some point that Mama had turned into an anorexic zombie?  Dead

THANK YOU!!!!  I was beginning to think I was the only one who was creeped out by this.  And I had the same reaction as you when she said she waited too long to get help.  My thought was, is narcolepsy fatal and she's dying??  Is she actually dead and coming back from the grave to warn us??

Anyway, the commercial worked.  They definitely got my attention.  But...yech...  Sick
