My X-mas is much different than in years past.  Then again, not really.  It was nice when my parents were alive, we all wanted to get together.  My ex was nice enough to tell me she is not seeing anyone.  Gee, thanks.

I told her I don't need to hear about when she is.  My loss.

Merry Christmas to all my Friends and fiends here on CIH!

I'm glad Christmas has never been a big deal to me. Even when my folks were alive. But I get where you're coming from about your ex wife. Knowing an ex woman partner is with someone else is always tough to swallow, but on Christmas it's even worse.

Hope your Christmas is tolerable at worst and even on the cheery side if at all possible.

I will be here early in the day looking for some jovial conversation.

I'm planning to head outside during the afternoon and get my daily walk in.

Maybe jump in the car and walk around downtown a bit as there should be people out, then maybe up to downtown Winter Park which should be kind of festive.

Sucks doing that alone, though.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

When night gets here, that is.

Not right now.

It's still daytime, for Pete's sake.

I have 3 days off. I plan to stare at the air. The TV will be on, but it'll be tuned to reruns, so I'll be looking in its direction, but pretty much not really noticing it. Maybe I'll drool a bit, too.

Anyway, Merry Christmas...or whatevs.

We have family over tonight. We're all socially distanced.

My family was gonna come over, too. But we figured "if we can't play Twister, what's the point?"

Grandma especially loves to play Twister.

I spent Christmas Eve with my sister and her fiance across town.
We had pizza and watched Star Trek Beyond on the telly, and I got to meet my sisters new kitten Briar. Would you believe that the little fucker plays fetch?

Thought that you wouldn't.
So I recorded a brief video and stuck it on YouTube.
(It would appear that YouTube is being a big fizzy douche right now, so here is the link in its entirety):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uFq9BRSmas

Santa Clause left me:
1: A pair of dark blue patterned pajama pants
2: A Nostalgia brand MyMini™ electric Sandwich Maker (appears to work like a small panini press)
3: A set of SpongeBob SquarePants wall decals. Clap

And I haven't gotten to any presents left for me by Mexican Santa Clause (my "adoptive" family here in Fresno) yet. Big smile

My Killer used to do that---with milk bottle top rings. I'd toss one up the stairs. He'd chase it and grab it and then bat it down each stair, tumbling down one stair at a time. When he got to the bottom, he'd pick it up with his mouth and bring it to me.

My favorite part was that he'd then wait for me to cup my hand under his mouth, whereupon he'd drop it into my hand, and we'd start all over.

God, I miss that little guy.

That was cute, A Mcp.

I used to have a cat that I would "play Friskees" with.

I'd go in the utility room at the end of the kitchen, where his food dish was and he'd be on the other end of the kitchen which was long and narrow. There was a throw rug on the bare floor right where the kitchen transitioned into the dining room.

I'd take a Friskee dry cat food morsel out of his dish and start tapping it on the floor. Tom knew what was coming and he'd "hunker down" getting his back feet ready for the pounce.

Then I zoom the Friskee at him or to one side of him and he's "scratch out" after it, not getting traction with his back claws on the bare floor and sending the throw rug off in a bunch.

Finally his feet would get traction and by the time the Friskee got there or bounced of the wall or something he'd pounce on it, then pick it up and eat it right out of his paw.

Then we'd do it over and over and over again.

It was loads of fun.

We played a Rolling Stone music trivia game for Christmas Eve.

Bah Humbug!

This Christmas was one of the WORST I ever had!

I couldn't get a Lyft that morning since it snowed too much, but the real kicker was I got angry at my sister because I made a comment about YouTube forcing commercials at us! She even had the gall to saw "why"...which I f**king hate! I ruined Christmas for everyone and she had to say "you need to change, so no more alcohol for you"!

Why the f**k am I the one who has to change? Next year if I'm NOT living with my brother...I'm spending Christmas all by myself! I now HATE Christmas!

PS...YouTube was on her TV and she can't use Adblock. I don't even want to go to my sister's anymore!

Jesus h Christ. My (good) boss just sent a text he can't taste or smell. Made a joke about not being able to smell his dogs farts. Let me tell you the man is f**k ing terrified. We're a small office. I already lost a family member to this f**k ing pandemic. I'm not having my family go through this again. Litigation pending.

Looks like you had a bad Christmas as well...I don't understand why I have to admit I have a problem and the other people don't?

Had trouble walking today, feet really hurt. Not used to wearing shoes for over 10 hours like I did yesterday (went to brother's house for Xmas.)  Nieces & families were there, lotsa talking.  Thought I was crunching on glass during dinner, but it was just a grain of sand in the salad (SIL seemed miffed when I mentioned it.) One of the better Christmases, lately.  Found out today a neighbor down the street died at 4AM on Xmas (so not so well for him. No, y'all stop freaking out about the virus, it was stage 4 lung cancer...)

We celebrated Christmas 3 days in a row. Had family over on Christmas Eve, stayed home on Christmas Day, and went to my older brother and sister-in law's house, so it was decent.

Nice presents you got!

I find it interesting with the Spongebob decals, it has a 2020 copyright date as Viacom instead of ViacomCBS. It was called ViacomCBS late last year.
