Nothing gives a product better credibility than someone who finished in second overall.

Unhappy...if'n any o'my team were to come to me with MagicJack and "HEY! LOOKIE WHAT *I* FOUND, PAW!!!!"...I'm pretty sure I'd fire 'em on the spot.
They've all had VOIP for YEARS...that'd just tell me they haven't been routing their office phones to their home PCs and I've been payin' for crap they are not and do not know how to use.

Magic Jack sucks. I'm stuck paying for another year, could never get a dial tone, and it caused me all sorts of computer problems. Not using it now.

I found out that Ms. Wambach plays for the "MagicJack" Women's Pro Soccer team, which happens to be owned by the inventor of the device. I could see her being held captive and forced to do the ad by her boss.

As for the product itself, I'm convinced that some power companies have an ownership stake in MagicJack, given all the computers that are kept on and the energy being used because people use the product. NetTalk is a better product, - doesn't need a computer on at all times, but their commercials are as bad as MJ's.

Technology isn't always new. Personally, I view 'Magic Jack' as 'old-hat'.
Sometimes - well, actually pretty often when someone misses 'time-to-market', a research investment ends up being a donation, or someone gets stuck with a ton of product everyone will see at the next Tech Flea-Market.
Or, more money might get pumped into the product to re-engineer it for a different purpose, like Magic Jack, and dump it on the public - a percentange of which WILL buy it because of their irritating, repetitive and wide-spread advertising strategy - like casting a LOT of hooks in a BIG POND. You will catch plenty of $20 fish - the trick will be to stick a contractural fork in them - that is where the money is.

Abby Wambach might be a great soccer player, but she has about as much acting talent as a piece of cardboard.  She is obviously reading off of a cue card, and in such a stilted and monotone way that the first time I saw the commercial, I thought it was a parody. The first thing I thought of was the Family Guy episode where Peter gets hired by the New England Patriots and does some commercial for a car dealer in the same stiff, monotone manner as Wambach.

(ConfusedBig smile...welcome back, PB! We've all been wondering when the wife was gonna let you come back to play!)
We're getting bombarded with her image, now. I take it her soccer career is over...

so is this the going rate for finishing *cough*...choking away and finishing 2nd in the WWC.  I shudder to think had they won, what sh*tty awful endorsements they would've got.  What a joke.
