I dunno sarge.

I guess we define "somewhat clever" a little bit differently.

I found this one to be a "somewhat blatant and transparent attempt to emotionally manipulate people".

I hate these kinds of "heartstring tugger" ads the worst. Am I now supposed to think of my mother every time I walk down the household cleaner aisle at the grocery store and instinctively reach for a bottle of Lysol? Bring it home and put it in a place of honor in my cleaning supply cupboard?

I see this ad as nothing more than a crass, cynical ploy to play upon something as sacred as maternal love.

Probably no coincidence that they're running it right before Mother's Day, either.

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

ShockedTHAT'S IT, ol'Mule! And just looking at the introductory pic (haven't watched the commercial) tells me I need to run to Dollar Tree and get my beloved Mother one o'those 'Pocket Panchos'...

Compared to the Lysol commercial I posted a week ago, 5 Second Rule, this one isn't too bad. JMHO
I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

I like the animals, but then I'm a sucker for animals.  Lots better than 5 Second Rule.  Speaking of animals, I use disinfectant wipes to clean up after my cats sometimes.  Just not Lysol brand, too expensive.  Tongue

After looking a little closer at this one, I couldn't find a screen shot of that big birds face.   :18 in the video.
Couldn't they have found a more attractive bird? That looks like a freaking Vulture or a Buzzard!
I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

"Lysol - Protect Like a Mother"?

Given the direction we are headed as a society, and what is becoming acceptable on TV and in the media, I wonder how far off I am in assuming that in about 10 or 20 years, their ad slogan might change a little....

"Lysol - Protect Like a Motherf*cker!!!"

LOL

Protect like a mofo or you might get the shaft!

Who's the black private dick
That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
(Shaft) Ya damn right

Who is the man that would risk his neck
For his brother man?

(Shaft) Can you dig it?

Who's the cat that won't cop out
When there's danger all about?

(Shaft) Right on

They say this cat Shaft is a bad mother - (Shut your mouth)
But I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft - (Then we can dig it)

I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

Ya damn right.

Isaac Hayes did about three memorable guest roles with James Garner on The Rockford Files.

Played the role of Rockford's old San Quentin prison buddy Gandolph "Gandy" Finch.

Always called Rockford "Rockfish".

And yes, he was a bad mutha....

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

My BIL always referred to him as Rockfish, I never really understood.  LOL

My dad loved reruns of that show,
I can't complain but sometimes I still do.
