I guess the only silver lining is that it should stop airing after this week.

This commercial gets my Grand Slam of Annoyance Award for November. Usually, I give this award to HHGregg, but this November, I take exception. As if the original song wasn't annoying and terrible enough, let's turn it into a commercial slogan, where you have to hear it multiple times over and over without your own willpower being involved. Does this advertisement make me want to go to Kohl's and buy anything?

Hell no, I'll be damned if I go to Kohl's for ANYTHING. I didn't really plan on going there anyway, considering I don't intend to by women's clothes or bedsheets. But as of now, I'll MAKE SURE I DON'T GO THERE.

Congratulations, Kohl's. You've earned my Grand Slam of Annoyance Award for November for this absolute garbage.

Although, I have a notion that HHGregg will claim the award for December once again. Somehow, they always manage to, no matter what.

So the idea here is to boost sales by producing an ad that alludes to THE MOST HATED VIDEO ON YOUTUBE?

Great plan, Kohl's, great plan.

It's really not that much more annoying than the original song and video was.

I really hate it when commercials use popular songs like that. It's like advertisers are so lazy that they would rather spend millions to use A popular song than come up with their own music. Even worse, Kohl's had to use one of the worst songs of 2011 in this commercial. Proving that the advertising industry has absolutely no shame what so ever. Especially when it comes to using popular songs.

I was going to start a thread on this one.

What's up with the bitch snatching the item out of the other woman's cart?

Oh yeah, I forgot.... taking things from other people because you're a good little all American consumer brainwashed by corporate greed mentality is "cool" nowadays.

How silly of me to be annoyed by something so natural & good.

What sucks even worse is knowing that little twerp Rebecca Black is getting a big, fat royalty check for letting them use her piece of crap song, too.

Merry effing Xmas.

That's right, I used an X.

Screw it.

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

I thought the same thing Jimbo. If that wench had tried that around here - where people get trampled to DEATH on Black Friday - well, let's just say she'd become a human pinata.

Pretty clever ploy---$15 off every $50 you spend.  While that's 30% off, it works best by encouraging you to keep going up to the next $50 increment.  If your total is going to come to $30, it behooves you to buy the extra $20 worth of product to become worthy of that "$15 off", so that you get $50 worth of product for only $5 more than you wanted to spend.

That would even work on me were it not for the fact that I need nothing from Kohl's, and I don't Christmas shop to begin with.

Thor, you don't get $15 off $50, you get $15 in "Kohl's cash" for every $50 you spend. (Usually it's $10 Kohl's cash, I guess they are upping it for "Christmas" shopping.)  It's $15 that can be spent only at Kohl's.

I'm not sure it's anymore annoying than the original song, however, yeah, the stealing of items from carts is disgusting. Yes, the person hasn't paid for it yet, but it's still their item! We had that happen with the last $5 waffle iron in our store last year, and the woman who originally had it in her cart took out her umbrella and started beating the sneak thief with it. I understand it was very funny.

If someone ever snatched something out of my cart they'd be knocked flat on their ass and nursing a bloody nose before they could blink. I think that's the thing that irritates me the most about this ad. I don't even let people I like touch my stuff without my say-so. I'll be damned if a total stranger is going to get away with it. And I'm pretty sure snatching something out of someone's cart on Black Friday would be enough to trigger a full scale riot.

Holy sh*t.  As soon as this commercial came on I told my girlfriend, "Please, please, PLEASE either change the channel or mute this bitch!"  Of course, the stupid remote decides when it wants to work and when it does not, so my ears were subjected to the entirety of this horrible commercial.  AAAARGH!!!!!

To be fair, Rebecca Black hasn't made any money on the original song. It all went to some charity. More likely, Ark Music Factory, the producing company, got a royalty check for this commercial so they can keep producing crappy tween pop songs.

I cannot believe this is an actual song.  I thought they made this piece of sh*t just for this commercial.  How can anyone listen to this chick without experiencing an aneurysm?  Can you still sell records if you kill off your fan base, lady?
