Yesterday we had a record low, high temperature for this date. 49
The low was 42 this morning, north and west of here, frost and freeze warnings are in place for tonight.

Mercy, we may be in for another winter like the last one.  Still too early to know for sure obviously, but if you're already getting record low highs, that's not good.  Also, it's been a below average summer here despite many of the days feeling extra sweltering - if I recall, Houston never officially reached 85 in May, 90 in June, 95 in July, or 100 in August.  There usually aren't a whole bunch of 100 degree days like in 2011, but there's almost always at least a handful of them.

Weatherbug is showing 54, I have 57.
The low here was only 42 last night, like I said the water temps are up so that effects the ambient air temp.
Finally, starting tomorrow, we get back to more normal daytime highs in the upper 60's.

Supposed to be 100 again today.  It's 90 up in my computer room right now.  I might have to turn the A/C on at some point.  I can deal with the heat in the room, but I'm not sure the computer likes it.

Surprisingly, the cats don't seem to care one way or the other.  They're as likely to stay outdoors on hot days as they are to come inside.

Great old tune, that.

Our September is turning out to be fairly typical, if not maybe a bit rainier than usual the past week or so.

Hot, but not quite as hot as August, either wet & muggy or dry, hot & sorta humid.

I'm holding out hope that by the end of the month, the high temps will be in the 89's & maybe even some overnight lows in the 60's!!!

Big smileWolfyWeather, once again!

In the mid-50's, grey skies, light breeze. Made for a nice, short bikeride to the grocer's.

That hurricane off the Baja coast looks like it may plow into Arizona still as a Depression or post tropical system.  They've been getting inundated with rain lately from that last hurricane that skirted up the west coast of Baja, and now this one.  Things could be a real mess for them the rest of the week.

That thing will be influencing our weather - it and the low down in the gulf will be pumping moisture from both directions the next couple days or so.

It was here earlier.  It's stopped for now and I should be okay on the ride home, but it looks like it will be back for the evening. Same sh*t tomorrow.

I just opened up a window as we hit 70, we could get into the upper 70's by the weekend.
The normal high for this time of year is 70.

It's been one hell of a morning Angry

So as I began getting dressed it started pouring outside. Not raining, friggin' pouring.  I got completely drenched like I jumped in a pool while making the 20 foot walk to my car.  Couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of my car while driving and the wipers on highest speed barely did any good.  Lightning struck directly overhead while I was on the freeway (which I was only able to do about 40 MPH on) and the thunder clap made my car shake a little.  About a mile before my freeway exit there was an overturned SUV on the inside shoulder which had traffic backed up. It apparently just happened since no emergency responders were there yet.  And just as I knew it would happen, by the time I got to work the rain was down to a sprinkle. Angry

The news just said the area I was driving through got about 1.5 inches in 15 minutes, and I believe it.  That sh*t was coming down in oceans.

So, how's your morning going?  LOL

Getting another shot of pretty heavy rain, but after it passes in the next few minutes it looks like we'll be getting a break, hopefully for the rest of the day if nothing else builds up to the west.

Cloudy and cool today.  Plus, the air smells of smoke from the 70,000 acre fire that's been going on in Pollock Pines about 60 miles away.

Been seeing a lot of low-flying DC10s overhead these past few days, carrying fire retardant over to the area.  Strange sight.

The fire, apparently, was arson.  They just arrested some guy for having deliberately set it.

Cooler today, expected high of 58, it's 56 now.
Good weather for my truck loading chore, the old 73 year old man was working circles around me.
He does handle firewood all day, I just handle household appliances and a hyper kujo dog.
