Not really too far from normal for late May.  It feels cold!  Windy & cloudy, 60 degrees.

Looks comfortable.

We've already gotten hell hot.

About to start getting wet, too.

Here comes the humidity....

I turned on the A/C for the first time today. This season of course.

Some nice spring storms this morning, could be some more severe storms later today.

A predicted high of 86 tomorrow.  Feeling cool and calm with dry air.

It's been reasonably comfortable here today. Slightly breezy, fairly humid, but inside with the fan on (and very few clothes on as well) it doesn't feel bad.

Probably gonna rain later.

Been raining every day since last week and will rain every day for another week or so.

Cool and rainy here.

The weekend was nice.  Put in a lotta plants in front of the house.  I spent about $200 on annuals, perennials, fertilizer, root starter and a garden claw.  I cut down and tore out a big sticker bush that I hated.  It wasn't bad looking, but it was a mass of long stickers that made rosebush thorns seem pleasant.  Why anyone would've put that in is beyond me.  Maybe deer-unfriendly because of the stickers?  Replaced it with a butterfly bush.

Sounds like a Bougainvillea, but I kinda doubt it because they freeze very easily. Would never make it through a NE winter.

But their thorns are horrible.

More like sharpened nails.

No.  No flowers.  Tiny little leaves that start out red and then turn green.  Very dense.  Individual branches growing out of the ground (that is, no main trunk) from a rootball.

It wasn't ugly, but trimming it was always a drag.  The trimmings would fall into the bush, and then just dry up there.  Of course, the stickers remained eternally stickery.

upper-40s (ish) today, and plenty more rain cos God knows we haven't had enough of that over the past month.  To be followed by a stretch of decent weather, then a heat wave.  Classic New England....

Taking advantage of the mild weather, we'll have to close the house up and rely on the A/C for the next 5 days starting tomorrow.

Looks like the rain has let up a bit at least for a day or two.

Everything needs a chance to dry out a little bit.

I bet the wet weather down that way will make the mosquitos even worse.

Probably so, but they don't bother me.

They don't even bite me anymore. Rarely even land on me.

I got so many mosquito bites running around in the woods as a kid, I think I built up an immunity or something.

Or there's something in my blood that repels them.

Wow...Spring has sprung, fall has fell. Summer is here and it's hotter than   usual.  Tongue

The overnight low was 80 degrees, thank God for central A/C.

There is a moderate chance for some severe storms later today.

Rained like a sumbeetch yesterday. Came down so hard for so long I thought the roof was gonna come down.

Hasn't rained yet today though.

Had time to get outside this morning and get the yard mowed.

That'll last about 10 days before I have to do it again.

If I mowed as often as I should, it would be every week.

But I don't.

Same here.  Can't remember the last time I had a mosquito bite, even though my neighbs always complained about them.

Raining pretty good here in Daytona Beach. It was quite muggy this morning, it started to rain a little after 2:00PM EDT. I just finished my rounds and got home just in time before it rained.

Pray for those in the path of Hurricane Irma!

A lot of the neighbors were out mowing yesterday, I probably should have mowed too.

It rained here like a mofo from about 5 to 7 PM last evening. At least an inch and a half of rain.
Off and on showers all day today.

Be glad when June is over.

Hot and steamy. 86 degrees, 71 is the Dewpoint, 80% humidity.
I got the lawn mowed and trimmed earlier this morning, it's too hot to be outside anymore today.

There has been severe weather to our north and to the south in the past week.  This valley has a strange effect on incoming weather systems. I have seen storm cells break apart and split us on many occasions.
