Saw that story about the muddy jeans.

We are truly becoming a society of empty headed morons.

Remember a few years ago you could buy jeans with holes cut in them.  Just another example of idiots with money buying their way into a short-term fad...

Not only that, I bought a new toilet seat for our master bath. I measured the bolt pattern but I had no idea how many different sized bowls there are.  F*ck!

pffft!  You could have built your own with a couple short pieces of 2x4 (& been fancy by sanding off the splinters...  LOL  )

You should have been over at my house this morning. A Spy Satellite was launched from Cape Canaveral, about five minutes later you could hear the rumbling of the rocket from my house. Don't feel bad if you missed it. Later this year they plan to launch a new bird called the Falcon 9 Heavy, which will be almost TWICE as powerful as the Space Shuttle! Big smile

Where will you be when the lights go out on August 21st?

During the Fambly's Floriyears, we often went to the launches, even though you could watch them in your own Tampa yard, but it just can't capture the feeling of 'being there' at about 10 miles out (I know we were on base and I think the closest viewing is about 10 miles away). The deafening roar and surreal 'earth tremble' is pretty cool - the closest experience I've had to that is probably earthquakes in California, or the F3 Tornado that hit Fort Worth & Dallas back in 2000.

The house I grew up in was about 22 miles as the crow flies from the KSC launch complex.

When a Saturn V or a Space Shuttle would go up, the doors would shake and the glasses and dishes would clink and rattle in the cupboards.

In 1983, I and some friends got a pass to go out and park on the side of the NASA Causeway to watch the very first ever night launch of a Space Shuttle. We were less than 10 miles from it. You could see the thing without binoculars. When it went up around 10 pm, it lit up the night sky like high noon and the rumble was so loud, we couldn't even hear our own voices screaming and howling at the tops of our lungs.

WinkI have this sudden rush of deja vu - we have talked about this before...

The Missus & I were at the very same place at the very same time (kids at home). Seemed like there were 80 million people around and you couldn't hear a thing...and then it launched...80 million people and all you could hear or feel
You could have found us - Red & White Lincoln Town Car - we had trunk open and almost got busted as we had our leaded crystal wine glasses and ton of wine and fancy snackies and were partying hearty.
Forgot to reserve a hotel room - very bad move.
Slept in the towncar on some beach and it was hot & sweaty to the point we had massive headaches and, in the AM, hangovers, which we tried to 'water cure' (no good) and then the missus fell off the pier onto uneven rocks and we were at the ER for a badly-sprained ankle and hangovers.
We ate & puked awhile and drove back to Tampa just in time to miss Billy Ferry firebombing a Winn Dixie in Tampa and killing a bunch of people, so I puked a few more times, bought some baseball cards and menudo in the express line, and drank a ton of water with the crip, and we went home.

Hey! You are what you eat! Tongue

I bought some weed killers this morning at Wally World. One for the weeds in the lawn an one (Round-up) for the beds. I treated the dandelions in the front yard before the deluge hit about a week ago.

They are showing signs of dying, I treated the front lawn again today with some stuff from last year.
It could have frozen over the winter so I'm not sure if it's even any good.

If you have left over chemicals, granular or liquid, you should just apply it as you would if it was new.

That is a method of disposal.

Best be careful with that Roundup, ron. They say it's a carcinogen. Of course you'd probably have to be exposed to a lot of it for a long time.

The only thing I use Roundup for is bamboo. It's the only thing that will kill it.

For regular yard weeds I just use Ortho.

I'm hoping you comment on the little tantrum in the Taco Bell 'Friends Zone'.
LOL  It's so fun to watch fights as long as I am not envolved.

Yeah, I saw that.

Don't think it helped much.

Ok, then...if love doesn't work, bring out the heavy artillery!  Time to bring out the MOAB, aka!  Or - maybe the Roundup!!
