I hate Kashi commercials. I hate the yuppie pretentiousness of the commercials, product and the people that buy it. I especially hate the one that plays all the time where the woman goes "I'm on a mission to get people off their rump". I don't know what it is about it, it's just pretentious and annoying. Maybe it's the way she says "rump" (like "ra-ump").

You are correct and welcome.
She makes me feel as though she is trying to say that her life is better and it is her mission to force her will onto others.  In my opinion, she can stay focused on her own ass and leave mine alone.  If I want to feel as though I licked a nature trail, then maybe I'll take a free box.  As I have no desire for that feeling, I guess she wont be winning me over.

Exactly! That's pretty much the formula for all the Kashi commercials. Except some have a little less of the arrogance factor than others.

They scour the globe for the best and most expensive ingredients and yet the cereal still tastes like stale horse food.

Indeed, I've tasted it and it is quite crappy. Dead

If anything I think we need more people on their rump. Stock swindlers, terrorists, religious zealots like Fred Phelps, burglars, these people are motivated. You show me some fat lazy prick who sits around in his underwear all day watching anime and I'll show you somebody who isn't making trouble for anyone.

I've tried two Kashi cereals. One wasn't too bad but it's expensive so I don't buy it. The other....I imagine this is what twigs taste like.

It's not going to inspire me to go rock climbing anytime soon.

These commercials get on my nerves, too. It's the whole crunchy granola pretentious vibe that I get from these people that bothers me.

"I'm on a mission to get people off their rump."

"Sunlight kicks regular light's butt!"

Ugh! Shut the hell up! I'm not interested in eating your "nature" food. It probably tastes as bad as it looks. And what's with the fascination with people's hindquarters? Maybe they're telling us subliminally that Kashi will lead you to the bathroom more often than usual after eating it.

Well, I think I figured out why they bother me.
They just like their bumper stickers, if you follow me.

Also, why eat cereal to bike up a mountain when you can get just as motivated wearing a tampon. <according to commercials>  Or better yet, get genital herpes and you will be rowing you boat and riding your bike all summer long.

That Kashi stuff is styrofoam.

It's like when people give you soy ice cream or carob and tell you it's just as good.

Me, I'll stick to my Apple Jacks in chocolate milk.

She and the Kaiser Permanente "muscolos" counting beeyotch should work together.  While the Kashi woman is doing whatever exercise she's doing, the KP woman can count and say "up and down" in Spanish.

Clap

Thank you for giving me a good laugh. While I do not partake in the viewing of anime [with or without underwear] that made me LOL!

Shouldn't she be saying "RUMPS"?  Or do we all share one, large, flabby rump?  LOL

Spicy, I always think that when I hear it, too, but each person only has one rump, so I can't get off my rumps, but I can get off my rump--IF I want to, which I don't.  At least not now.  I'm tired. Tongue
