I don't know if any of you watched the first version.  It was the first reality show I ever watched...and I watched all of it.  The true nature of the celebrity's really came out when crisis arose...especially when there where rain downpours in the Rain Forest.  I am looking forward to this second one.  June 1st is when it airs.

NBC will pick up the former ABC show and have it premiered on June 1st at 8pm. It will air for 15 episodes. It will follow the UK's format. The hosts are rumored to be Ant & Dec. [3] The series will premiere with a two-hour episode 8 p.m. EDT June 1, and air 8-9 p.m. EDT Monday through Thursday until its June 24 finale. MTV will show a marathon of the preceding week's episodes on Sundays, beginning June 7. Unaired footage and commentary from cast members will be included.

Confirmed cast members include The Hills star Heidi Montag, reality star Spencer Pratt, and American Idol star Sanjaya Malakar[4] In addition, former pro basketball player John Salley; model and TV host Janice Dickinson (who also participated in the UK version); actor Stephen Baldwin and former pro wrestler and model Torrie Wilson have also agreed to sign on for the show. Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was in talks to participate, but was forbidden by a judge due to his corruption trial.

Three other contestants will be announced at a later date.

Can we drop Nancy Grace, Lou Dobbs, Bill O'reilly,Glen Beck in there as well?

I think they qualify...Wink

I want to produce a much better version of this show.  Like that one, I would transport the celebrities to a rain forest, give them some food, games to play, etc.

Ooooooooooooooooooooh that would be a hoot....to add them...I would love to see it....you forgot that Stock Market screamer guy...his name escapes my mind right now.  Except I don't think Nancy would go...she's got those little kiddies she's always talking about and I don't she can part from them.  Maybe Greta van Sustern would go in her place..ya think?

When are the CELEBRITIES who are on this show going to be announced?    I don't think any of those qualify as celebrities...

Those are celebrities? On what planet?

They should let me be in charge of this show. I would do it up right except mine would be a lot different. I'd get a bunch of public figures that I can't stand, airlift them to a remote place in the world and leave them there. They would vote off the one who annoys them the most that week and that person would be shot into the sun. The 'winner' gets to live on the island for the rest of their days without contacting the outside world.

It would be called " We Are Annoying Tools - Shoot Us Into The Sun!"
