Why the HELL is this commercial back? I remember seeing this one over the summer(maybe even spring) and now it's back. WHYY!?!? Why give this commercial new life again? I rank this on the list with MAC ads that are useless from the technical view. Whoopee!! It has pretty colors. For all I know, it could be a pretty piece of crap. Who buy a computer just for looks? I wanna know what's inside. To answer my own question, I guess that's why Macs sell so well. |

Do you think I can stuff it in an envelope and put it in the mail?
There's always so many times I want to mail my computer, but it's just too damn big. Bummer. |

NOT one of my favorite commercials...MUCH toooooo 'whiney'.
All that comes to mind is that if she is '...Greeeeeeen todaaayyyyy...', then she is the grasshopper stuck to the sole of my shoe...

It wasn't that long ago when Macintosh was pushing their own line of pretty colors.

I figured it was a "go green" angle that Dell was taking. Why not jump on a fad if its available?

Please no more spelling Mac in all caps. I'll kick you off the board.

They can keep green, personally I like the comforting beige of this mighty powerhouse: Dig the Apple II that was over $1500 in 1982
The tune is Bach is it not? I remember it like it was yesterday on the commercials!
Darn right I bought a C-64, they got down to $400 and I jumped, bought the Datasette drive too!
Then they started selling at K-mart for $40
Technology always waits for me to buy, then it improves and lowers the prices.
Getting back on the rails of the topic, here's another C-64 spot that not only takes a bite out of Apple, but it features a "green" apple as well!

I'll admit that I'm a semi stupid consumer that will buy something based on color. Usually something small that doesn't matter anyway. I don't like Dell, so even if they made a metallic green computer, I wouldn't buy it.

Actually, H - Dell makes a damn good computer.
Bought 'em for the staff for YEARS. The lightweight notebooks (about 2 pounds) have enormous capacity and are very stable...love 'em!
Home tower is a Dell.

My experience comes from my brother's Dell laptop. We both hated it because there always seemed to be something wrong with it, same went for the old Gateway tower we had. I've never had any problems with my HP or Toshiba, so I just stick with what I know

Dell, does make great computers. Have one at work and one, that I use at home. I also had a Dell laptop that was great. But when I got it second hand, it didn't have any disks. But it did come with a scanner, carrying bag and everything else. And I only got it $150.00. But it only had Windows 98. Kinda glad that it stopped working.

Dell. First stock I ever purchased. Wish I'd bought earlier.
I have also purchased a tower for my home, a laptop for my son, a laptop for my daughter, my wife as one for work from home and also has my son's first laptop. Had a problem with my daughter's laptop. I used the"chat" function in lieu of a phone call. Very efficient. Beats trying to understand the Indian dialect. |
