What the hip hoppity hell was that?  That is the actual commercial. (I think) A cell phone video of a video. Totally not understandable Bull shavik.
I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

I'm getting sick of this commercial too. Every time I hear "The great outdoors" I leap for the mute button!

It doesn't register as a complete commercial to me, it just registers as noise that needs to be muted!

I'd like to have seen that bear tear Dad apart, then smash the car window, reach in, pull the children out and eat them.  Then, he takes Mom and has his way with her right on the bed of her hotels.com hotel room.

This is all OK, considering they're just cartoon characters, right?

Yeah, Thor said he likes all that violent movie stuff.  But he's just a big old puppy dog.

Yes. Hate this one and especially the way the mom says "Nope!", just like most commercials making the dad out to be a complete moron. A few years ago there was a similar Hotels.com commercial with a real family, but the dad booked a dump of a motel and the mother sarcastically told the kids "Thank your father!" Apparently, hotels.com thinks bitchy moms are funny.

As a result, I use Expedia, Travelocity, or Hotwire. Got a really good deal with the latter this summer. Hotels.com will never get my service.

I loathe this commercial, and it proves once again why I never use hotels.com. Last time I used it, I was going to Los Angeles for three weeks and the price made my eyeballs cringe and all I could think was "$750! I could take Amtrak to Los Angeles for a cheaper price than what you're telling me my room price is! Thanks, but no thanks hotels.com. Now do me a favor and p*ss off!"
All it takes is one bad commercial, and you're off to CIH to share your distaste for the offending advertisement.

^  $750 for 3 weeks in a hotel??  That's an incredible price!  Comes out to about $36/night.  Hell, a few years ago, I paid $150 for one night in a hotel in San Francisco---with no air-conditioning (it was the rare 95 degree weekend in SF)!

Back in '08, I used Expedia to book a one-week trip to LA...everything, including the car, flight, and hotel, came to $650. I'm with Thor, $750 for three weeks in a hotel seems pretty reasonable, depending on where you stay. IIRC, I was in a pretty decent Quality Inn...

This commercial really annoys me to... mainly for a pretty odd reason though... I find the look on the actual Hotel.com guy's face at the end to be awkwardly creepy.

[P.S. That's showing up as a link even though I keep adding in the proper BBcode and when I hit preview it doesn't show it, only the link. Does anyone know how to fix this or what's going on?]

The hotels.com guy's face has a five-head.  And also, at the crappy hotel where the bear attacks and the guy takes a picture of the three-eyed fish, there is a triangle shaped bear warning sign in the background.  What country did these people book that hotel?  The US, Canada, Mexico, and even Australia have yellow diamond-shaped warning signs and not triangular warning signs.

Where? I don't see it! I wish the video was of better quality and not some random cell phone video of somebody's TV. Pisses me off

If what you're saying is correct then this might be a UK ad changed for a US audience!

Never mind I see it! It definitely looks like a European warning sign! White background and red line at the edges! Good catch! When I young I always thought the European signs were much cooler than US's! Now I think differently!

I dunno.  I use Photobucket.  In Photobucket, you just block/copy the correct selection, and paste it into the reply box.

Codtaro: Weird... and yeah, I just tried to edit it again, brackets and all, but no dice. It just posts the link.

Also, Thor, I used Imgur to upload it and both tried pasting their BBcode and using the Insert Image button [which basically just adds in the tags], but whenever I hit "update post" it still just posts the link. I'll try Photobucket next time, and if that doesn't work either... I guess I just won't post photos, haha.

$750 for 3 weeks? That's...not bad at all. The hotel I work at charges $159 a night(okay, $99 on weekends). So $750 wouldn't even get you 1 week here...

I'm so sick of seeing smartphones and they're even plastered on commercials like this one. No, I don't care that you have one, I'm not impressed! I haven't seen this one in a while luckily.
