Grandma "squirting" her ketchup bottle is the only redeeming part of this commercial about ketchup. |

I saw it as a bit of a 'throwback' with a squirt. An inappropriate squirt - but a cute one.

February? I had no idea this commercial had been around that long. I saw it for the first time a few days ago, and it was hate at first sight (and especially hate at first listen). Were it not for the ear-raping humming of a baby children's tune, this one might have been tolerable. I'd almost have rather had one of those quirky Colbie Caillat/Ingrid Michaelson wannabe hipster female singers warbling "If You're Happy And You Know It" than this. Instant mute button fodder.

I put ketchup on hot dogs! Usually, both mustard and ketchup, but sometimes just mustard. And if I have it, sauerkraut. |

A felony? I thought ketchup along with mustard was a fairly standard hotdog condiment.

K....not yr fault, U live in CA. Kidding. ![]() I think anyone attending either a home Yankees game or home Mets game is ejected from the park if they use ketchup. In fact, at local ballparks, ketchup is a banned substance! In FACT, all those entering the ballparks are wanded with a ketchup detector. Pretty sure. ![]() |

Ew...yellow mustard...bleaugh.
I like my mustard to be brown and thick, the way it was intended to be. :) Sauerkraut is nice sometimes. Personally, I'm more the type to put some veg on there and forgo any dressing whatsoever. |

K....I just delved (my default mode), and will now put up 3 links; this issue...is an ACTUAL topic I jus discovered!!! http://gothamist.com/2014/03/14/national_hot_dog_council_never_use.php http:// www.chow.com/food-news/121025/why-does-ketchup-on-a-hot-dog-piss-people-off/ http:// amazingribs.com/recipes/hot_dogs_and_sausages/no_ketchup_on_hot_dogs.html ____________________________________________ Edit: K....one more: http://www.hot-dog.org/culture/regional-hot-dogs Pls scroll down to this: New Yorkers eat more hot dogs than any other group in the country. From downtown Manhattan to Coney Island, when you buy your hot dog in the Big Apple, it will come served with steamed onions and a pale, deli-style yellow mustard. It seems this-all is REGIONAL.![]() |

Pls get, ketchup is mainly SUGAR. I am human, so I can't eat a burger without it, but at least I have no illusions re wut it is or why we like it. Just delved again; classic ketchup is around 23% sugar! All top brands offer reduced sugar varieties, but let's face it, given why we like it, bet almost nobody buys those. |

^Out of 17 grams, 3.7 of it is sugar. But probably none or little of it is added sugar, and most is just the sugar naturally in the Tomato.

I'll take refined sugar over the rabble commoner sugars any day. :P
Either way, there's no REAL difference. Both Tomatos and Sugar Cane contain Sucrose, which is glucose attached to fructose. |

Well, your choice, as long as U R not in da rivah in Egypt: issue is how much ADDED sugar is there? And added fructose is no different from other forms of refined sugar.....and, while which we are all human, it's bad for us....make no mistake. |

I've never had a cheese dog. Nor a corndog. I'm with your daughter on the scrambled eggs thing. I sometimes put ketchup on hard-boiled eggs, too. |
