Happy Easter, everyone!

Instead of an Easter egg hunt, I've got to go on a mouse hunt today.  Actually, I know where he is (hiding under a big piece of furniture), but catching him won't be easy.  One of the cats musta brought him in.  I suspect Killer.

I have a kill-free trap, but who knows where the hell I put it.

Instead, I encouraged him (with a stick) out into the light, trapped him in a corner, snatched him up, put him in a box, took him to a nearby wooded area, and released him.  This was after blocking off all the other places downstairs for him to hide.  In the meantime, Sneakers is up on the coffee table, watching the mouse tear ass across the room, with only semi-interested amusement.  Thanks, Sneaks!

LOLI remember writing about using those when our kids were growing up in Texas...how we'd catch 'em and they'd be wigglin'! The pups would 'name 'em and play with 'em' (we wouldn't let them eat 'em) before having them scrape the lil'creepers onto the other side of the neighbor's fence, so they could 'run home'.

LOL

That was pretty much him, Tiz.  He doesn't know a good live meal when he sees one.  But, pop open a can of cat food, and he's in for the kill.

Big smile...anyone go on an 'Easter Egg Hunt'?
MissyD went on the hunt first, this a.m....and found $300 hidden away in a cigar box...I really wasn't PLANNING on her finding it, doncha know....but she did, dammit.Confused I'm planning on gettin' something back for it - an' I *think* I have a pretty good idea of WHAT!Evil Smile
All the same, being the beloved Mother and 'care-giver' she is and always has been, she ran off with it and immediately parceled it out to our pups. gran'pup, and, for the most part, locals that could use the assistance...) before I could save my 'Beer Dollars'.
May her furry lil'black heart be blessed, dammit now....Confused
~~~
All the same - no complaints...she did all the right things, in the right spirit.Wink
MissyDWolf hid TWO 'eggs' for me...and I FOUND THEM! (*I* can still 'sniff 'em out', doncha know...)
I done happily ate my 'eggs'...pictured below...
#1.)
...and, well, a VERY SPECIAL #2!!! One of my favorite German 'Smoked Beers' (they are WONDERFUL!)
Tongue...I love bread...and the local Ukrainian communities make some really great treats for Easter...
 Why say it with Hallmark when you can say it with bread? A Ukrainian Easter babka made by the ladies from St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Kenmore carries an Easter greeting.
I've been seeing "pretzel bread" around lately.
Tried some from the local grocer's bakery dept.
Damn good!!!
And now, Hot Pockets has gotten into the act with pretzel bread HP's...
Pretty good too, I must say.
Better toasted than nuked, of course.
