I have never been a big milk drinker & as such, never really bought it much. The problem with me has always been, that if I buy it by the gallon, which is the most economical way to buy it, I have to drink it up in a week. Usually by the end of the week, I'm forcing myself to drink the last of it or throwing away the last half a pint or so.
I could buy 2 half gallons, but that would be like throwing away money & I just can't bring myself to do that!!! Recently I've begun buying this stuff at the Dollar Tree... ![]() Costs $1 per quart at the DT. For just a few pennies more than the $3.85 or so I'd be paying for a gallon at Walmart, I can buy 4 quarts & don't even have to refrigerate them until after I open one. Although I do. Usually buy two at a time. And it tastes good, too!!! If you like having milk around the house, but don't use it a lot, give this stuff a try!!! ![]() They have whole, 2% & 1% I think. Not completely sure, though. Great with a shot of this stuff in it!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I like that boxed stuff and I drink a lot of milk (I almost never drink soft drinks). It does taste good!
In Mexico that's the only milk I drink. The brand is called Lala. For 2% you buy the "Semidescremada." |

I drink a lot of milk, so the expiration date's never much of a consideration. |

And aside from Aldi, Walmart is the cheapest place to buy it.
Most of the other grocery stores around here are getting well over 4 bucks a gallon. But after I open a gallon of milk & start drinking out of it, it starts to turn after a few days. If you drink as much milk as you say you do, it probably doesn't stay in your fridge long enough for it to start going bad. Also, I think that date means how long it will last unopened. Once it's open, I think it starts going bad faster. |

For anyone having problems with wireless internet slowing down at home, and you have neighbors, I suggest that you change the channel number in your router.
Every time I change routers my download speed gets slow as molasses. It turns out that routers usually default to 'Auto' mode, which selects the channel number automatically (based on a sampling of traffic in the area). But they only assign one of three channels: 1, 6, or 11. If you have neighbors, 90% of them will most likely be on those same channels. Even if the other signals are weak, interference on the same frequency is not rejected as noise; it causes handshaking, which is bandwidth sharing. When these other signals are busy, as when streaming, it can really slow your throughput down. So when I get a new router I log into it (with the ethernet cable), change the channel select mode to 'Manual', and set the channel to 3, 4, 5, or 8. The results are amazing. The download speed jumps up to 30 Mbps from something less than 7 Mbps, and often as slow as 1 Mbps! Hope this helps someone. YMMV of course. |
