Everytime I see those Perdue chicken commercials where the founder & CEO of the Perdue Chicken Corp. is reading a text message on his Blackberry about feeding his chickens corn dogs, then goes out to the barn & you see the message was sent to him by Gladys the chicken on her laptop so he gently admonishes her by name that there will be no corn dogs for dinner & no more e-mail, I always wonder if after he has his first-name-basis friend Gladys slaughtered & her body cut up into pieces, put on a styrofoam tray, wrapped in plastic & sold to a supermarket for some stranger to purchase then cook on a barbeque grill & eat, who will get Gladys' laptop?

What will he do with her other personal effects? Will he notify her family? Send a sympathy card? Will he mourn her death with the rest of her friends?

And if he was good enough friends with Gladys to know her by name & recieve e-mail from her to begin with, how could he be such a cold-ass bastard as to do that to her????

Apparently the guy who owns the Perdue Chicken Corp. is an evil, cold hearted bastard who you should never become friends with.

Because he'll have you chopped into pieces & sold for food.

Don't become friends with him, whatever you do.

Actually, the guy in the commercial is Frank's son Jim Perdue.  I believe Frank is dead.  Hope he didn't get chopped up and put in little packages!

It would be ironic if Frank was felled by a salmonella laced chicken.

I thought I had that name spelled wrong, but I wasn't sure.

Fixed.

We had a Perdue Rotisserie Chicken for dinner, tonight. Tasty!

Before I bought it, I had to ensure they were not affiliated with Imperial Foods, in any way, shape, or form...(they overcooked chicken and employees, back in 1991 when they made sure the employees could only exit in a controlled manner (by body bag was the preferred method) - by chaining a bunch of doors shut).

I remember one of the old Perdue ad campaigns:  "Parts is parts."  It wasn't very funny, but the phrase caught on!  Thor, do you remember that?
