I posted this in the other "forum" but since I left it I'd like it to be known here now.
I can never get enough of the commercials where the dark black or green 1960s VW bug (which IMO looks better than the updated one.)is "interviewing" a famous person in a German accent (with no CGI mouth movement thank goodness). It's so odd and unusual and yet so funny that I just can't hate it.

I liike the one with Heidi Klum--especially when the Bug turns red from blushing.

I think a lot of the VW commercials are good, I really liked the Unpimp Your Ride series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cv157ZIInUk "You get an F." |

I adore these commercials! Something about that Bug is just so...adorable! The accent, the dorkiness, the fact that all VW Bugs look like they're rotund, friendly, jolly beetles...I love them. The Buzz Aldrin one is the funniest. If that's who that is.
Sorry, I fail at Name That Astronaut, so....yeah.

I'll stroll along with the 'pimp my ride' VW commercials - I thought they were so f'n funny! But the new ones? (The "interview" series)
Guess I'm too much a history buff...
Think it goes ONE STEP too far back....I keep thinking VW is going to post a ticker-tape at the bottom of the screen..."...meet our founder"
Thor??? Shad??? You there???

I think the one with Shawn Fanning of Napster is funny, too.

The astronaut is Richard Searfoss. Buzz Aldren never flew the shuttle. He retired from NASA in 1972, but he did patent a space station.
