Well, get ready for the onslaught of these, not only from Apple..but annoyances from Paul/the dumb crash testing looking iRobots from Sprint, tMobile, that hipster dork that thinks he's funny for Verizon, etc - again in late October with another iPhone "cheaper" version coming out.

I have an older iPhone from 2015 still works fine..has the battery replaced a few times which I can do myself. But for YEARS I've - and many other Apple geeks- wanted a full screen large iPhone.

Well it finally came out yesterday, the lines were long as usual. Jesus, after seeing that starting price LAST week of $1099 (64gb space, which is kind of insulting in 2018)...or the jacked up 512gb for $1449, seriously, GTFO Apple. That fancy bling bling gold phone just screams "Please mug me and take my $1500+ phone!"

Oh but we introduced "Animojis" last year (the singing idiots with unicorn and pig faces) this time we get "MEmojis" a cartoon version of yourself. Um, yeah, more childish emoji junk.

I think Samsung came out with that already over a year ago, and some app calls Bitmoji has been around for quite a while..same basic nonsense.

This is just another example of stupid idiots being even more stupid than usual and blowing a ton of money they don't really have just for a status symbol. I already said smartphoners are the dumbest beings on this planet and anyone that would pay such an exuberant amount is just proof of this.

It would be easy to prank those people by telling them there is a "iPhone toilet app" that they can use for emergencies.  You know at least 1 or 2 would fall for it...   Wink LOL

I USED to be excited for these iPhones, I watched that keynote a few weeks ago and it was "blah blah" new processor, bunch of silly specs..THEN came the price

(I STILL have an old iPhone 6+ that works just fine) I simply can't justify these damn prices anymore. $999 for the smaller "new" Xs, then $1099-1449 for these larger "xs Max" (I keep reading Excess) - THEN add tax, add the now more expensive Apple Care plan. Maybe get a case.

For that high end model, you're pushing close to 2k for a damn phone!! A phone that will devalue by 60-70% this time next year. The "cheaper" version XR comes out late next month - Apple claimed a delay, some problems with the cheaper LCD screen. Yeah...sure. Smart move, pump out the super expensive phones because many can't wait - hold off on the cheap models. And yes, those will sell also.

And Ive already seen posts from those - who didnt buy this protection plan already drop the 4-5 day old phone shattering the screen AND the back, and OLED screen - then b*tching to Apple how fragile the phone is. Moron...the darn thing is made of 96% glass front AND back, what the hell did you expect?  The repair job now on that is pushing $500-700 bucks. (its laughable)

THEN i saw Tim Cook on Good morning America trying to answer Robin Roberts question about "That price!" His response was insulting - "Many don't throw down the $ all at once" More like a rental..$30 bucks a month so a dollar a day for the new phone. I dont know how that sh*t, works..but there are terms and conditions in the fine print. If you want to upgrade in a year and don't pay THIS new phone off..you owe the remaining amount of that phone? I might be wrong..whatever the case, these BS carriers have these "sweet deals" but there is always a catch.

Toliets...There's an app - or 2...or 5 for that.
(That last app looks like the old sad guy from the Ernesto commercials - sadly staring out the window singing "The Sun will come out tomorrow" from the looks of his face, he may now have OIC)

Eh. By the way, the onslaught is here. Sprint..yep theres Paul and the new ditzy sidekick blonde and robot. Verizon, ATT, TMobile is at it also.

I express my feelings of these ads with the upcoming Llama "Llama emoji" taking a "poop emoji"
 - 70 new emojis coming to iPhone next month. WHY??!! Enough w/ the childish emoji junk!

I remember when phones were made for talking. Now they about do everything but wash the dishes or mow the lawn. (I hope they add nose pickers soon)

(Thanks Very Much Edison.)

In the distant past we had a "Party Line" where others could listen into your rants. Now the world Government's do.

I grew up in Oregon with a party line. My parents phone number was Empire (EM)2-8218. Area Code? For long distance you rotary dialed O and the operator connected you.

The wife has an old fashioned 'mechanical bell' sound on her iPhone.  She used to use the song 'Urgent'.

The one kid got pissed off and threw down the receiver.

They couldn't even figure out that you have to have it off the hook while dialing.

Modern kids truly are dumbasses.

Exactly!!! I couldn't possibly care less about seeing or commenting on someone's kid doing something as mundane as getting on a bus. I'm probably the guy in the car waiting behind the bus getting impatient for it to get moving about ready to lay on the horn Angry
