I'm in a f**kin' bad mood right now! It looks like I can't give bread to the birds while cleaning the church. I do it because it wouldn't go COMPLETELY to waste! Next time I have to clean the main hall and there's Panera's...I'll take it home! I'll have the birds eat it there! I was also on the phone and the security guard said "take your call outside" though I was in the vestibule...thank you Barney Fife!
But also...I saw an AT&T unskippable commercial while I was watching YouTube. It's an AT&T phone app that you can stream cable channels...and what pisses me of is the unskippable YouTube ads aren't even shown as stand-alone YouTube commercials!

Well Mr. Cleveland - since you're already in a bad mood... let's cash in:
I think you mean "I'll have the birds there eat it." instead of "I'll have the birds eat it there."! Unless you're taking the birds home too. OK, OK... maybe this will cheer you up: Think of all the money that AT&T is going to piss away trying (again) to acquire T-Mobile. It ain't never gonna happen! IDIOTS!!! TOTAL, COMPLETE MORONS. And sporting a DeathStar logo to boot. (I hate AT&T.) -- and they're one of my largest clients. That reminds me - we need a tin foil hat emoticon. BTW: I read in the trade rags recently that YouTube is planning to dispense with the unskippable ads. I'm sure whatever's coming next will be much worse, though. The ones I deplore are those in-line ads that unexpectedly break into the middle of your content. |

Wow...I'm NOT alone! I have hated AT&T for so many years....even taken legal action against them. We allowed AT&T a corner of our building in Tampa, back around 1984, where they promptly built a mini 'point of presence' and totally secured the room. We built a hallway around it, eventually, but AT&T gave us a whole new POS phone/data system you may know of...so advanced it never worked worth a crap. AT&T Merlin. You have to watch out for 'The Children of the Corny', too - Lucent Technologies and Avaya - bot AT&T spinoffs. |

They don't want them around the church, especially not after that last horrible incident when hundreds of them kept flying into the stained glass windows during services. So I can somehow see their reasoning for not wanting to attract them. Finches & sparrows, not so much trouble, but those damn seagulls OTOH...

Having thought about the issue, I can now offer a few suggestions: 1 - Ask whether the church would feel better if you fed the homeless instead? And for that matter, maybe the homeless would help you clean the church? 2 - So, it's OK for Jesus to feed the birds, but not you? See the artwork at this link: http://render.fineartamerica.com/images/rendered/medium/greeting-card/images-medium-5/jesus-feeds-birds-isara-daengruan.jpg 3 - Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? As to the comment about birds flying into stained glass windows: It's pretty hard to make a decent bright red-colored piece of stained glass with ordinary additives. Bird blood is a perfectly acceptable substitute. Plus according to Darwin's Evolution of Species (possibly not the best subject for certain faiths?), it thins out the stupid birds, helping to ensure survival in the long term. Not only that, but said birds would have died at a church! That's got to be worth at least a few points at the Pearly Gates! Now if the homeless start crashing into the stained glass windows, then we need to pass around whatever they are drinking! Unless it's Sterno, because that doesn't really mix well with anything. Except maybe lighter fluid. Bonus points to the person who correctly enumerates all the stereotypes and falsehoods provided above! |

Thanks for the feedback on my bad day...I'll have the bread in the dumpster since birds and squirrels do dumpster-dive anyhow. It's that they're worried about rodents and raccoons...okay, I won't do that.
But my boss had told me that my new pastor has taken pictures of the conditions on my own church! He's complaining that nothing is done! I cleaned-up some of the things, but what angers me now is...he might as well make our church a smoke-free area inside and out! I even refuse to go to church this Sunday because of that! I highly doubt Jesus would turn-down smokers! Back on the subject...that AT&T commercial is about their Direct Now campaign...which is part of DirecTV. I wish Roku has ad-block!

If I could get live TV on my Kindle Fire I would be happy. I hate AT&T! They have been pushing this partnership with Direct TV for some time now.
