ConfusedDo I need to write Downy to find out if they only make products for gay people, or so gay people teach our wives how to do laundry? I'm not even going to think about gay men trying to teach straight men 'how to do laundry and learn to love the one you're with'. I'm SO confused about this, but at least *I* know I don't need any stinkin' 'Downy Unstopables' because I don't wear 'Fruit of the Room' clothing.

Oh yea - we need a 'Spanish Version'.

1.  Are we sure that isn't a woman?  Sure sounds like one.  Could it be a woman pretending to be a man dressed as a neuter?  Of course, nowadays, my archaic notions of male/female are probably considered some sort of phobic.  I'm probably a h8tr.

2.  Shouldn't it be Downy Unstoppables?  "Unstopables" doesn't even read correctly.  This apparently purposeful misspelling on the part of the Downy people seems pointless.

Oh.  Someone else's research (a letter to Procter and Gamble) got this response from the Downy people:

Downy chose the word "Unstopables" to embody the playful and feisty spirit of the new product's unique form. The name puts a spin on the word "unstoppable" similar to how Unstopables puts a fresh twist on your laundry!

That response actually makes me wanna puke.

I love Amy Sedaris.

Did anyone else notice how in the second commercial at :20 where he says "To stop or unstop...." a cloud of spit mist sprays out of his mouth?

Yuck!!!!

LOL
I'm not ashamed to say that I do the laundry, it's not brain surgury.
The Gain that I buy is called 'Island Fresh'.  The Bounce dryer sheets add a scent too.
That's enough freshness for me!

That depends on which island they got the scent from.  Hopefully, not Haiti.

This feels like it would go with Thor's findings on 'unstopables' and the impact on target marketing  - FIERCE couldn't possibly be as much fun as FIESTY, now could it?
